This is probably the only shooter other than Metroid I will get in 2010. It looks amazing. I wish that EA gave the 360 a beta, instead of the PC/PS3. Taking down entire buildings=awesome. Who is hyped for this? I personally think that it will beat MW2. Not in sales, but in gameplay.

I am super hyped, but I need a better computer for it

Official ESRB rating is M, the single player trailer shown on GTTV was awesome.

I loved the first...hopefullly they'll inject some life into the single player, as it got REALLY repetitive.

It did. The only thing that bothers me about the sequel is that the campaign seems too serious. Haggard and Sweetwater are supposed to be idiots, funny idiots. The trailer makes it seem like it is all about being serious in the army.

A lot of reviewers complained about the first one being too light hearted.

But that is what set it apart from so many other FPS games. What makes it any different from Modern Warfare if it is all serious? Both are war games set in the near future the middle of a fictional war with Russia, and you play as a fictional character in a small squad. In Bad Company 2 they took out the auto injector, it uses the same recovery style as Call of Duty now. Bad Company is pretty unique for a shooter, and I want it to stay that way. Sure, there are still vehicles like tanks and cars, but how long is it until Infinity Ward or Treyarch decides to put that into Call of Duty? They have snowmobiles and boats already. I don't remember being able to use a copter or tank in MW2, but I'm not sure. And being able to destroy entire buildings will most likely be put into other shooters, if they are meant to be realistic.

MW does not have battlefields. At least not of the same scale.

Other Call of Duty games do. The WWII games have huge battlefields.

and to add i hope the characters keep their humor. also i dont think it should be rated M. the f word is in it but not like GTA or anything like that. the first one had strong language, so this should be no different!

Well it isn't just that the language is bad. It added blood, which the first Bad Company does not have, and like you said, the language is worse. It drops the F bomb a few times in the trailer, I'd imagine that it will be worse in the game. Basically the only "bad word" they say that would anger some people in the first are hell and sh*t.

And I agree about the humor. That was what helped make the original awesome.

ESRB synopsis' for these games:
Bad Company 2(M): Characters use profanity during cutscenes and in the heat of battle.

GTA(M): Strong profanity and racial epithets can be heard during gameplay and particularly during cutscenes.

Wheelman(T): Dialogue also contains profanity in both English and Spanish
Army of Two: THe 40th Day(M): Characters use profanity in dialogue, in battle

so im guessing Bad Company 2 is in the T-M range, leaning alot more over M so i guess thats why. Blood and violence arent a problem because uncharted 2 and MAG(2 games off the top of my head that are rated T and have these) both have blood and violence.

feel free to link to those descriptions in their entirety if you like, but some of those words don't need to be on this site even bleeped. thanks :3 -- TBD

Well I think you are right about the blood, I just remembered that Zelda: Twilight Princess had animated blood when you killed some of the monsters, and that is rated T.

The ESRB has it down as M because:

Content descriptors: Blood, Strong Language, Violence

Rating summary:

This is a first-person shooter featuring two modes of gameplay: single player, in which players control soldiers on a mission to stop terrorists; and multiplayer, in which players engage in team-based combat ("Conquest," "Rush," "Squad Rush," and "Squad Death Match"). Both modes involve using machine guns, rifles, grenade launchers, and rockets to kill enemy soldiers on the battlefield. In single-player mode, players conduct missions on an unnamed Japanese island during World War II and then move into the modern day through jungles, deserts, and snowy terrain. The firefights contain realistic gunfire, loud explosions, cries of pain; large sprays of blood come out of injured characters during the fast-paced combat. There are also close-up depictions of knife-stabbing (flesh-impact sounds) and melee attacks with a power drill. Multiplayer mode tends to involve more goal-oriented tasks, such as "capturing-the-flag," destroying and defending crates, point-based fighting. Characters use profanity during cutscenes and in the heat of battle.

So am I. I might preorder it just to get the special edition, but I don't know yet.

Also, I agree that it will be better than Modern Warfare 2. It is great, but I just can't get into it as much as Bad Company 1 or Modern Warfare 1.

I just did something really stupid. I watched the single player trailer again. I NEED THIS GAME.

Also, Queens of the Stone Age FTW!

I got my copy preordered. Ive put quite a few hours into the Beta and its good, and its not really comparable to MW2. MW2 is more about self domination tham teamwork and Battlefield is all about teamwork. Battlefield isnt as polished feeling as MW2 is though. The controls arent as tight and the guns feel like they have no power, even when the opponent dies. When you get shot, its almost laughable, because the animations are really weak and it almost feels glitchy. Its fun and if you play with good teammates its really fun, but its nowhere near as polished as MW2.

So, did anyone like the original Bad Company? I've been playing the multiplayer a lot lately so I don't suck when I get BC2. EA should fix up their servers a bit, I always get disconnected at the worst times, and it only happens in Bad Company, and they should add new weapons. Some of the weapons in Bad Company were annoying to use.

I played like 5 more hours of BC2 online and all I get is stupid snipers that could care less about objectives leaving me in a 30 minutes of nothing but getting obliterated by the other team, this has happened numerous times and Im over it, I cancelled my preorder and picking up Heavy Rain tomorrow and sticking with MW2. Game relies to heavy on teamwork and you cant do it yourself if you team doesnt care, just like MAG, so Im not interested anymore!
