It's a great text adventure game of helping the community fend off the zombies for as long as possible, the game plays in real time and if you die, you try again in another town!

A real time text adventure with zombies! Definitely going to check this one out. Can you play with others? Maybe we could meet up and fend off some zombies together.

EDIT: Yes, you can form Coalitions of up to 5 people and explore the towns and worlds together. Anyone want to try it out together? This game looks great!

Coalitions seem to only work if you have been in the same town together from what I've experienced.

Anyway, a few rules:

No matter what, don't take the game seriously...a few members go OTT in some of the towns...I was lambasted for suggesting some upgrades.

Noob towns create portal locks, expert towns start workshops.

This game is intense! Survived my first zombie onslaught.

@Starlight Yeah, I can see what you mean by some people take it too seriously. It seems like a lot of people really get in character for it haha. The noob/expert thing is funny, because my first town built a Tower first and then in the final minute before the zombie onslaught they asked me to finish building the Portal Lock. (I had to use some meds to open the gate for the last guy to get in. I had 7 AP left over lol.) The Portal Lock saved us - 24 zombies attacked the town and we had 25 defense thanks to it! Today we've agreed to build a Workshop though lol. The annoying thing is we have a lot of inactive citizens though, so it's hard to do much...

It looks like you can add people to your coalition from anywhere through the settings, you just need to know their name. You will join towns together if you aren't already in a town. Seems like the best (and only) way to play with friends in the game.

What profession should I go with? Scavenger sounds useful, but also sounds like he could die fairly easily. On the other hand, the other two sound basically the same except you are just surviving a slightly different way.

@HeroOfTime007 Not quite. There's an actual user interface. It's similar in many ways but it has a big focus on team play. Or malicious backstabbing. Basically you join a town with 39 others and try to survive the zombie apocalypse as long as possible. There's a lot of interesting politics there due to the small communities... like you can save someone from being stranded, steal from others' houses, vote to have others banished or hanged, trade poisonous rations... It's no wonder some people take it so seriously!

@Ravage The only profession you can take is Resident unless you become a Hero (i.e. pay money). The professions just add some benefits in certain areas but they're not necessary.

@Ravage Your water runs out! You only get a little over 100 water rations from the well at the start I think. You need to build a Water Pump to make it last longer.

Things which change when a new day begins (which is after the nightly zombie attack):

• People die!
• Your AP returns to 6
• You can take a water ration from the well
• Zombie packs on the map will rearrange, grow, shrink, etc.
• Rarely, depleted zones will be restored

I'm CrazyStarlight in the game, my stats are pretty impressive if I do say so myself (I have 3 of the semi-rare "Last group standing" or something like that as well as the "Twinoid is Taboo" and "Labourer" title. (I rarely scavage as I always do it wrong, my first town pretty much relied on me locking the gates so I risked infection >_<)

Some info for you guys:

Rations are random when you start a town, 150 is the best and 90 is the worst iirc.

There are other D2N sites you can link to your account so you can view the stats offline and there is a leaderboard somewhere (will probably link if I get on the PC)

NO NOT EAT MEATY BONE! Infection's kill...if you are infected...don't use the bandage without a certain medication or vice versa, one without the other only works for one day before re-infection takes place.

Always but defensive objects in the bank.

Always build a tent day one, never build a Hovel as it's looked down upon.

My town is mostly inactive. There are less than 10 people who have logged in since yesterday. This is gonna be tough...

EDIT: Well, every active citizen in my town decided to have a mass suicide so we can move on to other towns LOL. We're just going to leave the gates open. There are 30 citizens still alive but there are only around 4 of us on the forums and... most of our town never logged a second time. Sheesh, there are unopened Welcome Packs and Twisted Planks left in people's houses.

Decided to give it a try. Still trying to figure things out... but hopefully I'll make it through the night lol.

I made it through my first night. One thing you should not do though, do not build a hovel. Build your tent, but don`t build a hovel, at least on the first night, as it is frowned upon.

On my third day. What's stupid is the mass suicide worked - except I survived. There are 4 people left in the town and only 2 of us are active! Oh well haha, a few extra points for me and a day off scrambling to survive. :U

Haha! The second day in our town has so far turned out bad. Someone keep building stuff out of supplys we need for the workshop, which we can`t build now because some $h** decided to build the great wall of strengthening. We could have built the armour plating after the workshop, for fewer resources and more defense...

This sounds interesting. I'll play it later today.

The zombie attack is going to happen in a little over 2 hours! And then finally I can join a new town, jeez.

Actually I got stranded outside of town thanks to 3 zombies, but the other active guy saved me. He's awesome. Now we're just sitting ducks eagerly awaiting our next towns. :3

@Xkhaoz It's a cool game. Make sure to check the forums and introduce yourself as a new player so you can get advice from the others in your town. You don't wanna mess up things for everyone early on.

So should we create a Nintendo Life coalition or something?
