There is this PC game, entitled "VVVVVV", it's a 2D retro platformer, but it's not what you would expect. The way the game works is simple, and you only really move left and right, and up and down change gravity (going from the floor to the ceiling and back.) If you are like me and enjoy trial-and-error gameplay, this is a must, because while it is sort of brutal at times, the abundant check points make it a lot less tedious. It reminds of N+ in certain ways, because when I died while playing I just laughed it off and tried again. It's on Steam for just $5, and I seriously think its worth it for any retro fans. Anyways, just wanted to see if anybody else was playing the game as well, and if they were enjoying it...here is a decent review I found of it for people interested (and also because the reviewer explains it pretty well.)
I played it, and enjoyed it, mainly because of the hypnotic soundtrack.

I played the demo. I don't think it's worth PAYING for...
It would make a good flash game though.
I didn't finish either levels on the demo, but it seem good.

Well, I think the $5 I paid for it is well worth it for the interesting level design and great music.
@Aviator: How do you pronounce the title? Well, I pretty much just call it "V" or "V to the 6th power" lol. I figure it's called VVVVVV, because it resembles spikes, and there are a crap ton of spikes in the game.

awesome game. i think the $5 dollars is totally worth it. its true that there are games of equal caliber available to play for free online, but $5 is close to nothing, support your indie game developer.
I have, it's great. It was worth the cash when I bout it for $20 before it hit steam. Lots of replayability, smooth controls, and challenging but never frustrating level design. A perfect platformer if you ask me.
