Thinking of picking one up to get Final Freeway 2R (I love sprite scaling racers like Outrun, Top Gear, and so on), but wanted to make sure this game was available in North America.

I just checked, it's there, but for double the regular ios/ Android price. Please save yourself $20 and DON'T GET A GAMESTICK. Please. It's a complete waste of money. I haven't touched my GameStick in months.

(I absolutely love my Ouya though)

What's the regular price?

I really only want it for this one game. If it's as nice of a homage to dozens of classic 2D sprite scaling arcade racers as it looks, I don't mind the $20 it's going to cost to acquire the hardware at GameStop.

Even if the game is good, it's quality will be hampered by the terrible quality of the controller. It is the worst controller I have ever used.

Also, the set up was longer and more complicated than any other console I have ever owned.

The game is also FREE on Android, 99 cents on ios.

I have to admit these Gamesticks look like crap.

Battle.net - Dayman
Steam - RancidVomit86
PSN - RancidVomit86

Thanks, didn't want to buy this only to discover I couldn't even download the game here in North America. Or discover it was priced crazily. $22 before tax is much easier to justify than if this download cost $15 and pushed the price up towards $40 when all is said and done.

I don't have an Android or an Apple platform to play it on, plus, I want physical controls.

I've read that its controller is surprisingly halfway decent. It should at least get the job done for this racer better than touch controls can, even if it's not perfect.

Undoubtedly, this isn't a great machine.

But I've paid this price for other plug and play systems over the years. That this will likely only ever have one game on it, doesn't have a strong software library, can't tie superior controllers to it like a Dual Shock 3, and so on aren't really a problem here since I'm not looking for any of that stuff. I just want to play this racer.

I'll just think of it as an addition to my plug and play collection of things like my Commodore 64 DTV system. Wish it was on a Ouya since I've been contemplating purchasing one for emulation, but they don't appear to have any plans to bring it over to that.

And who knows, I might be surprised and something else neat might come out. I'd love to see Vectrex Regeneration be available on something else other than iPads and such, for instance.
