I read that the character you have a chance of winning is picked from the ones you have yet to win. Thus, you'll never lose money trying to get a character. It just might take a bit longer to get the one you desire.

Is this the case?

Anyway, I've seen the screenshots and it looks incredibly tacky . That ugly font...that familiar Final Fantasy pretentiousness...

I've got no interest in buying it like I would Theatrhythm iOS - except I couldn't - my iPod wasn't compatible.

There are 30 characters and they're 99 cents a pop. I don't care if it does take longer, if there's a chance I have to get Fang or whoever by putting $30 into game just so I can get the character I want, I'm not gonna put up with it. It's obviously an idiot exploitation service, not unlike most EA DLC, and while I don't care what happens to idiots, I am insulted that a company like S-E looks down on its customers like that.

Yeah I REALLY hope SE starts to put out some of there games to eShop, Chaos Rings (maybe), DQ VII, VII, Bravley Defult (outside of Japan), FF V, VI, VII, and of course the GBC DQ games

I like how All the Bravest is abbreviated to ATB :D

But yeah, I don't think I'd buy this. It's a tad extreme to go from loving Square Enix to hating it after this one cash grab though, don't you think?

This argument hurts my head. And it's simple to debunk if you think big picture.

If bad games are black holes where valuable game lovin' dollars are sucked out of the system, each successful bad game must cancel out another good game. That's too black/white for me, at least.
The fans of a series will purchase new entries, almost without fail. FF fans are certainly entitled to the same optimistic mentality. Maybe they will also buy a bunch of other games, even alongside the FF purchase. They might not even count it against their spending allotment, since it's a Must Purchase.

TWEWY sequel teaser, just a port, Thetrythm, FFV, and this

They've been teasing us with iOS ports and browser games for the past two years. I'll admit, it's getting annoying, especially when there are two games a lot of people really want to come to the West.

The once almighty Square Enix who used to make amazing games like Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger are now reduced to being iOS money-making machines. I'm really getting tired of their lack of support for the 3DS or Vita. There are like three of their 3DS games that I would love to see localized, but either SE is taking their good sweet time or doesn't give a sh*t.

The emphasis lied more in the manner they were announced through a teaser site without any mention of platform (at least for TWEWY). At least, that's what I think he means. Otherwise his requests for a remake of DQ 7 and remakes of Final Fantasy games would be ironic.

@moomoo right! I don't mind remakes or ports but don't fool us with a game sequel we want, a game with a very similar name or pics of a FFV remake with 3DS like graphics, theatrythm didn't matter as much since it was a long shot to have a new one based on other square stuff that they couldn't end up doing via DLC on the normal one anyway

But considering it seems that SE thinks that iOS games are the only way to successfully make a lot of money, I should dial back my hopes.
