I've had it with these things breaking. Every time they break, you need a new controller, that must be like three dualshocks, three gamecube controllers, and two nunchucks that have died on me and my brother. Yes we're just too hard on them - but still, a mashed button works. A broken analog stick means new controller. I want indestructible stuff.. Like the original playstaytion and NES controllers. Never broke either of those.

But uhh, yeah. How many controller analog sticks have broken on you?

hmmm...... nope not even once the buttons die first with me I tend mash them really hard(especially in hard games, ARPGs and Mario Kart) while I don't press the analogs down so only the stick part gets the pressure. heck I broke even the GCcontroller's Z button, in half it split in two parts from too much use! and don't get me started on shoulder buttons of all videogames I ever had only the N64 ones never broke on my hands
but I understand completely your frustration

...not exactly a "stick", per say, but my first experience with analog control was the Circle Pad on the 3DS... and that did end up breaking, had to send it in for repairs once...

Have you considered not going into 'roid rage mode on your controllers? Mine generally last me many years. My PS2 controllers are about a decade old now and still work perfectly fine.

Never had this problem expect N64. Maybe you should take it easy and not think you have to be hulk to move them.

I've never had an analogue stick break since the PSOne. And even then that only happened once, because my brother was way too rough with things. Just don't use them too hard and make sure your hands are always clean.

Never. Not once. What are you doing to your controllers, anyway?

This is what I would like to know; I left my system alone with my mom while she was playing Animal Crossing; I got it back and the circle pad didn't work correctly anymore (it stopped snapping back to the center)...

By any chance that you and your brother playing Tony Hawk games?

Umm… Care to have some gravy?

MAB

I think you lot have some serious issues

Some of my controller's analog broke because we play a lot of Tony Hawk games on N64 and Gamecube. You have to left-right "B" to do the special move as well up-down, down-up, up right to down left, and you get an idea. Imagine that at least five times in one stage of 2 minutes for 2 hours straight everyday for 5 years. So it's bound to happen. XD

N64 and Gamecube controllers had lousy analog sticks in terms of durability.

Luckily, I haven't had this happen to me before.

My brother broke the buttons on his red wii remote by pressing WAY too hard. Broke is relative, because it's fine to him. Everyone else would agree it is broken.
So that is why all the analog sticks are broken - kid is too hard on it, plus lots of play time. Honestly Smash Brothers and Mario Kart killed all our gamecube and Nunchuk controls so there's that

I'm sorry, but analog sticks are pretty great.
