It's hard for me to say for sure for some of my older systems; for the most part I only owned handhelds as a kid and sometimes shared games with my siblings and vice-versa. There are a few games I've either sold or given away over the years, though the majority of those were either games I lost interest in or were blatant shovelware that was gifted. I do wish I had a small handful of them back, however. I will not be counting demos.

I've also owned a number of PC games over the years, but it'll be almost impossible for me to guess how many I've owned in total. I only have two (technically 3) digital games at present and a couple of old discs that may or may not work on Windows 10 since I haven't tried them yet.

Edit: I do own Breath of the Wild for the Switch, but only because I couldn't say no to the Special Edition.

This would require having to count my games lol! About a good 20-40 per system and loads of back catalogue to get on top of!

I lost count around 2000. That was a couple years ago.

I don't know if I could say "usually", most older platforms were dependent on what my parents would buy me. Now being a full time employed adult, I simply buy a lot more. But I have only been out of college and working for about 3 years. so I couldn't give a good average.

Between all the various consoles and handhelds, there must be hundreds of games. A lot of Gameboy/color/advance, gamecube, and Wii.

If I added together all of my digital and physical games, I would definitely have over 1000. Probably not much higher than that.

I used to have a lot more, but I purged a bunch of Genesis, Saturn, Sega CD, and Dreamcast games last year. Sorry, Sega.
