Final Fantasy remakes on GBA are definitely the definitive versions of the games. I would love to see them hit VC.

To be fair, even that is a terrible, nowhere near comprehensive list. :/

The definitive version of IV is the PSP Complete Collection.

Is the version of VI still censored (Shadow's backstory and Edgar being an Alcoholic etc). Otherwise none are definitive other than the original Super Famicom one. (Which is in Japanese).

......I guess no one wants to count the port of Sonic 1 on the handheld..........

You missed Dragon Quest 1 and 2 on Gameboy Color

Oh Okay Still I need to head to the eshop for the 3d classics.

Dragon's Lair arcade and Cannon Fodder PC were scaled down and converted for the GB Color.

The first Harvest Moon for GB/C was kind of a watered-down port/demake of the first Harvest Moon for SNES.

Topic revival need to add Dragon Quest 7 and Dragon Quest 8.

The 3DS list is missing Majora's Mask 3D, and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy (which is a remake of Ace Combat 2).

EDIT: the 3DS list is also missing Super Street Fighter IV 3D & BlazBlue Continuum Shift II (you mentioned the list also encompasses ports).

The DS list is missing Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary (DSiWare).

Etrian Odyssey Untold (and soon EOU2), Devil Survivor Overclocked, DS2RB, and Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers are all remakes. And since you seem to be including JP only games, Atelier Rorona.
