As long as the parts are swappable, I'm happy. I hate Dell for their non-swappability, and I haven't so much as looked at an Alienware since Dell bought them up I'm hoping they didn't pick up too much off of them. I'd probably do this, but I'd need a damn good processor. Mine is bottlenecking the hell out of my current PC, and it's the hardest part to swap out, so I'm looking to future-proof
Dell PC's aren't customizable? Isn't that the whole point of owning a PC?
People build their own PC's Cheaper that way for a gaming PC

But PC's have always been customizable, it's what makes a PC more convenient (for some) than a gaming console. The fact that Dell PC's aren't customizable is a step backwards.
Not really. They are really cheap to manufacture that way and it allows them to quickly churn out large amounts for business or stores like Future Shop.
What I find disturbing is the quality of power supplies they buy for these computers. They pop in a really low power gpu or stick with integrated so they can get away with a cheap 400 W psu that can only actually put out 200 W before shutting down (or, in some cases, catching fire).

I WAS interested until I noticed that it has a tiny power supply of at least 240 watts (330 watts for the higher end). I would've liked to attempt to swap graphics cards, but guess that's impossible.
This one from Digital Storm looks more interesting and manages to save some desk space compared to other gaming PC's, but it's ridiculously expensive.
