There must be a language barrier, because I have no idea how you've interpreted my post and where all of this 'insult' stuff is coming from.

Sometimes I think you intentionally misread my posts to direct them away from my actual point.

You said that I make crazy claims and we all think devs are going to worship Wii U. It's freaking data, bro, we shouldn't even be arguing whether it matters or not, because it does to Activision and EA.

Their decisions ultimately determine what happens in the industry.

First sentence? Spot on. lol

The rest is a reach, as said before. Neither company said they are basing their entire futures on these preorders, its just an idea manafactured by those of you that believe devs are going to mass migrate towards the Wii U.

Even they talked down the importance of this in the article. And EA and Activision determine what happens in the entire industry? lol. We've gone from a stretch to a reach to just flat out desperate.

I'll let you have this one though. Keep thinking EA and Activision are incredibly distraught over these numbers, and they will shift the entire gaming industry towards the glorious Wii U. You can even bookmark this thread so you can tout your awesome predictions when the time comes. lol

@AlexSays
They won't completely migrate to Wii U. My point was that Wii U is more viable for their success than what people give Nintendo credit for.
If Xbox One and PS4 don't do as well as they thought, the Wii U is still going to be there. It's not like they'll ignore the Wii U if it's viable for their success.

I don't even know what you're saying anymore, because I didn't hear anything about being desperate.

They're just predicting off of statistics. Anything could happen. I'm not the one who posted these articles.

You mean like when the Wii became the #1 selling console and got tons of third party support.

I think what many people fail to realize is.. The Wii.. last gen was considered 7th gen because in all honesty it set the foundation for features gamers expect in the gens after.. and once again The Wii U.. has set the foundation for the 8th gen and beyond.. in addition the Wii U is a lot like the Dreamcast of this gen.. it has unique features.. and not as powerful hardware.. but I chuckle.. because no one ever said the Dreamcast was last gen.. even though there was times the games looked very little better than the N64... and this is where the Wii U comparison comes in.. even though some of the ports look little better than the PS3.. it is laughable to call the Wii U last gen system.. just like the Wii.. and actually the Dreamcast before it.. it is the foundation for all the gens from this time forward... in addition it is important to note.. I always said something like EA will use excuse after excuse to not support the Wii U but if their sales proved lackluster on the XBOX ONE and PS4 they would come up with excuses as to why they should continue to support them.. or they would write it off and continue the support.. so none of this surprises me from EA's front..

I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...

What features have the Wii U had that layed the foundation of this gen?

Console A is in the mud, but if consoles B and C fall into the mud, console A won't look so muddy. That's what we have here. Wow.

Smartglass, Vita crossplay, companion-app... You might to watch Sony and Microsoft's E3 presentation again.

Vita cross play is a sequel to PSP remote play
Smartglass was first shown in 2009 as a concept for kinect. The fist commercial use was in 2010 as a Way to interact with Halo Reach.

So again.

Probably the only real benefit I've seen from the Wii U is Miiverse.

I have to disagree with you on the psp thing. The vita is going to work like a tablet and the psp never had these plans. See Rayman legends vita. You are right about the Xbox smart glass tho. It's a close call between nintendo and them. I guess researching the spec leaks and reveal is the way to go.

So again.

Nintendo has had crossplay since SNES with the GameBoy adaptors, and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles along with Four Sword Adventures were good examples of wired remote play before Sony had the PSP. The only reason Sega failed in that regard, was because they teamed up with Neo Geo, while Nintendo was able to rely on only their own hardware.

Alot of devices have well known features anyway. I just think that Sony and Microsoft like to push things on a more technical level. No one can really blame Nintendo for using high capacity discs or Bluetooth 4.0, vs. adding a non-traditional control scheme.

I know Sony had the Move around the same time, but they didn't think it mattered until Nintendo showed them it did, so Nintendo got alot more support for the thing.

I'm sure things will be better by the end of the year.

Low preorder sales = multiplats being sent to die. That isn't reaching Scar? lol. C'mon now, I know you like outrageous claims as much as the next person, but that is typical pro-Nintendo, anti-everything else propaganda. People that believe the Wii U is some great savior and devs are going to start worshipping it are going to be very disappointed..

If their software isn't meeting their expectations on these new ones they don't have a choice. They will have to rethink Wii U. Especially if it tears apart the charts when the big wigs come out. Mario Kart will be coming when reality hits for the new ones and that is when we will have a better idea.

We won't know for sure until it comes to pass but I have a strong hunch that at least one of these others will end badly.

And why all of a sudden we see those ways to play "bloom" right after the reveal of the Wii U? It's not even use arguing the evident, at least please not on a Nintendo-themed website.

Regardless of who started what, I think the main thing is that it's a very clear trend for this generation.

Here is the thing: given the inflated costs of production for next-gen videogames, who in here could be dumb enough to believe third-parties will manage to make a profit on next-gen games on the Xbox One and the PS4 alone? They'll have to milk it out on the PS3 and the Xbox 360, slowing down sales of the PS4 and Xbox One at the same time. In that context, how do you guys see the post-launch period of both upcoming consoles any different than that of the Wii U?

Meanwhile, Nintendo will be there supporting their own platform and growing its install base exponentially: how does that sound for a business opportunity?

Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot says Assassin's Creed IV and Watch Dogs are among the "top five for most pre-ordered" next-gen titles.

The launch of a new console generation can be a tough time for publishers. Gamers might be hungry for new hardware but it still takes time for new, fully priced consoles to establish a user base large enough to support the sizable sales numbers that game companies like best. If Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is correct however, that may not be as much of an issue with the coming launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Speaking at a recent Ubisoft earnings call, Guillemot commented on reports from retailers that spoke of a dramatic overall increase in console pre-orders.

"Some retailers, are saying pre-orders two times than what they saw in the last generation launch," said Guillemot.

How does this sound for a business opportunity? In Ubisoft & Retailers we trust .
