I wouldn't call them remakes just because they got what amounts to a fresh coat of paint. That would be like saying a movie originally released on VHS, then later remastered and released on BluRay, was a remake.
Higher draw distance, better resolution, extra features (Achievements, Stop 'N' Swop with Nuts & Bolts, complete original Stop 'N' Swop, LIVE Leaderboards, etc.) all integrated with the game IS a remake... it isn't a port or a rerelease...

Meh, just a difference of opinion, i guess. No new levels, same gameplay and game mechanics, and nothing significant changed in the originals = Not a remake. More like "Special Editions" like the changes to the Star Wars OT -- some minor additions and graphical updates, but wouldn't consider it a remake.
But i realize we're just quibbling over semantics. 6 of one ... =)
