No need worrying though. Rare gave us some good games on Nintendo consoles. Microsoft bought them fair and square. Nintendo could of probably kept them. To say Microsoft is opressive and greedy is to state every company known to man. Some companies might pretend to cater to fans or actually give fans what they want. Its not because they like us. Its because they know they will make an extra buck if they do so. If you have good Public Relations people and marketing you can fool anyone into thinking you care about them. Bottom line companies make stuff to make money. To worry about Rare being console exclusive is pretty much wasting your time as they are owned by Microsoft. Not to say Microsoft could one day put them on the selling block if they felt they were no longer an asset. Who knows maybe one day, one year they will be making for Nintendo or even Sony. Here is to the future !
They aren't console exclusive anyways lol, the Viva Piñata series are on Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo DS... they made the Diddi Kong Racing remake for the DS, and developed GBA titles too... and they've done that even after being bought by Microsoft... who knows what will happen now that the Zune HD can play games, but they still have DS dev kits, and they aren't the only ones within Microsoft Game Studios with those dev kits lol

They released DS and GBA games because Microsoft doesn't have a handheld console. Rare is owned by Microsoft and that's a fact, they can do whatever they want with the brit guys. I loved when they worked on 3 or 4 big titles for the Nintendo 64 at the same time, those guys were crazy! Rare, i really miss you so much...

Then get an Xbox 360... they can, and are, developing remakes of all their past games from their IPs (Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, etc.) on Xbox LIVE Arcade...

@DarkG: No thanks on getting the 360's, my brother has probably renewed interest on the system, so I'm not getting one for myself. Beside, I'm not into remakes unless the game is from an unsupported system (On the Virtual Console).

@DarkG..... I didnt know that. I knew they released Nuts and Bolts but everything Ive seen didnt look overly impressive. Remake Perfect Dark sounds awesome. I upgraded my N64 just for that game.

Nuts and Bolts is the third console game of the series... its a very good and original Racing / Platform hybrid... it also has Stop 'N' Swop compatibility with the XBLA Remakes to unlock extra car parts and stuff...
Perfect Dark is coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade, sometime next year IIRC... and Perfect Dark Zero, was an Xbox 360 Launch title (now part of the Platinum Hits)

They also cut out anything Nintendo in the games, replacing it with Microsoft.

@SSBF: The XBLA games really aren't remakes. They are the same as the n64 versions as far as I know except for the addition of Stop N' Swop.
They have slight graphics enhancements (Widescreen support, 1080p support, etc.), keeping the same graphic style of the N64 version... I would say they are remakes...

@DarlG.... That is awesome I didnt know all that. I played Perfect Dark Zero and wasnt very impressed. There are few FPS I really like and thats Halo 1 and 2, Black, Far Cry, Crysis and Killzone 2 on newer systems. N64 games need a little help graphically with draw distances and hopefully add some duel analog controls wich would make them awesome.
