I'm waiting for the inevitable Batman: Arkham Galaxy. The joker kidnaps Robin and the only way Batman can rescue him is to join forces with a princess and convert his Batwing into a massive spaceship. Batman will have to collect Bat Stars to power his Batship so that he can rescue his comrade. Wii U exclusive.

On a serious note, though, the Wii U is the only next-gen machine I plan on getting. I'll wait a year for this to go dirt cheap on Steam and pick it up there.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Anyone else notice how hard it is to notice the PS4 logo? My eye is always drawn to the XBOX ONE Logo...

Anyways, yeah, this has me real excited. I can't wait to pick up the GOTY edition in the fall of 2015.

October is a long way from now, good. We will see how busy I am with other games (Bayonetta, X?) , and how the reviews are, then decide if to go with a gaming pc or maybe a black Friday PS4 as a last choice, to play this game.

Those cops fighting Harley are just ridiculous. I'm kind of disappointed that it won't come to Wii U, but not personally. The only Batman game I ever played was on GameBoy. I never cared for any of the super hero games, TBH. I used to rent Spiderman and Hulk for GCN, but that's about it.

@SCAR392

if you like Metroid games I'd say give Arkham Asylum a go.

Also Harley should be able to take most cops.

WAT!

Maybe. Arkham City would be more likely for me.

The way they showed Harley take down those cops was ridiculous. She ducked and then did a slow as hell barrel roll. There's no way the cop would have missed her like that. Maybe I'm just being too critical about a made up scenario... oh well.

LOL.

@SCAR392 AA and AC are just amazing games in general. Even if you don't like Batman, they're still really good games that are worth checking out. I recommend them to my friends who don't even like superheroes and they enjoyed them.
I was skeptical about the Arkham games because I hadn't played a decent superhero game since Spiderman 2, but Asylum was awesome and I ended up preordering City.
As @shingi_70 said, if you like Metroid, you'll probably like the Arkham games.

Arkham City is one of the few open world games that is willing to really minimize the problems of open world games (see: being too big for its own good) and thus I love it forever. Arkham Asylum is pretty awesome too and both games are worth your money. Combat, exploration, puzzles, stealth, bosses (in City), collectables, graphics, sound design, general value of the title, it's all great.

IDK. It's not that I dislike superhero games, I just kind of gave up on DC once I got older. If I had money pouring out of my pockets, I'd probably buy it, but that's not exactly the case. I think maybe they should focus on another super hero, maybe. Injustice kind of throws them all together into one game and you can fight freely, so I liked that, but Batman seems like the only character they focus on, so I'm not that interested.

Why isn't there a Shazam game?

The Nolan films reignited interest in Batman. I think Rocksteady once said they had interest in doing a Superman game, but they weren't as to how to go about it.
I'd like to see a Wonder Woman game!

@SCAR392

The biggest problem is that Batman is far easier to make into a game than a few other heroes. Its why for Solo Marvel games its usually Spider-man or Wolverine.

There's a rumor that DC plans to expand after Arkham Knight with a Sucide Squad game by WB Monteral next year. WB as a studio only focuses on a few brands in LOTR, DC, LEGO, and Scribblenauts. I know there were murmurs of having the big games be retail and than make games based on smaller charcters and properties using digital download like we have with the Fables game.

I'm actually playing Arkham Asylum with my bro to celebrate (and coerce him into picking up a PS4 and Arkham Knight so we can play it together). It's still a really fun game, though I suck at the stealth sectons. Thankfully Batman's good enough that you don't always need to use stealth even when the situation calls for it...and my bro convinced me to put all our upgrades immediately into armor...

Ya, see. That would probably be more interesting. I would want a Shazam game or Static Shock.

I realize thatthe Batman games have a ton of the villains from Injustice, but that just furthers my point that they focus on Batman the most. DC would probably attract alot more attention by focusing on their more "obscure" characters. Wonder Woman isn't exactly obscure, but at least it would change things up.

So apperently, the main villain isn't Scarecrow, but Arkham Knight (Heck, he's in the title.) And created by DC just for this game.
...I just hope he won't be a ressurected Joker or something. Time for another villain to shine now

IGOR!

CanisWolfred

Uh-oh, looks like Martin Lancaster of Killzone/Crysis fame is shaping the plot. I'll try not to judge, but I wasn't a fan of the stories in those series...

Nah Batman is popular for a reason, they've focused on other charcaters before and even in enemble shows batman merch tends to sell better. Plus dude has the most interesting rouges gallery.

I'd like to see another Take on Superman or The flash.

I agree that there should be a Superman and Wonder Woman game. Those would be more popular than Shazam, which is more popular than Static Shock. Meh.
