Topic: (WW) MKW Race Thread

Welcome to the new home of MK racing on NintendoLife. The original thread is both out of date and in the wrong section. I realise new regional threads have been created but I don't see them as much use. This thread is here for us to exchange friend-codes and arrange private worldwide races away from the reach of hackers and Luigi-Circuit picking noobs.

We will be racing on most Sundays at 9pm GMT and maybe the odd Wednesday too. If neither is good for you, please feel free to suggest another day/time. I don't care how or when it happens, but we all need to start racing more!

I wouldn't mind this. of course I'm not home most of the day some weekends, but Wednesdays might be good.

I will try to be there on Sundays. I got fun racing against you, guys. Although youre too good.

That and if MH3 hadnt suck my life yet.

Hmmm, Sundays or Wednesdays don't really work out for me because of time differences but I can be on MK at these times:

• Weekdays: from 4-6pm GMT+8
• Saturdays: from 12-6pm GMT+8
• and some Sundays from 3-6pm GMT+8.

Of course these times aren't definite so I might be on earlier or later or not at all. If you can't work out the actual time I'll be on then it is 5:24pm Thursday 22nd April here ATM so just count the hours backwards or forwards from the time that shows up at the top of my post. So if anyone can race me at these times, please tell me! My FC is in my signature so tell me yours! I already have some peoples FC's in my Friend Roster from the other MK competition like Machu's, Mange's, longtimegamer's
and I think Hoffkage's as well.

@MPF999: I think you are more like 5 hours behind, which means we should be able to work something out.

@kaioblivion: Welcome. Oh dear, that's 2am for you then, hhmm. We'll have to arrange a weekend daytime race sometime then. I'll add you this evening, and see you on the track sometime.

Something must be off, I seem to be in the same time as you (it says 5:23pm on your post) but I'm GMT -4 (EDT).

You can change your timezone settings by going to your User Profile and changing it there. Don't know what's wrong if you already have though. Also, wow, you're 12 hours behind me!

I'm not 5 hours behind. If you're racing on Sunday at 9pm GMT I will be 7 hours ahead at GMT+8 (I would be 8 hours ahead but there is daylight savings in the UK at the moment.) So the actual time you will be racing in my timezone is 4am Monday morning so you see why it doesn't work. Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough in my previous post. On an unrelated note I agree that the friend codes at the top are sexy.

EDIT: I have added Terra and Kaioblivion. I am waiting for Twilight Crow, Hoffkage and Raylax to register me. Add me guys!

I'm joining! I'm availabe anytime over the weekend. Usually Wednesdays aren't good times due to not being able to play games on school days, but anytime I have off, I'll let you know. No problems with the time, since 9PM GMT is 4PM EST here!

so wen do we race then?? n do i need to add all of the people above??? or do i just add 1 person n he/she invites the others??

@ kaioblivion & Mario Party Fan 999: I'm not sure what to suggest really, as the time we tend to race is far from suitable for you both. Until we get some daytime (evening for you) races arranged, perhaps you should arrange to meet each other.

If all of us add everyone else, there is much more chance of bumping into a fellow racer whilst online.

I'm toast for the weekend, but will keep Sunday evening clear for racing goodness. See you then.

I already did, but I see the problem. It's set on the 24 hour clock, you posted at 5:23 AM not PM when it was 5:23 PM over here. Yeah, I'm a whole 12 hours behind... let's not get our hopes up on racing very often.
Other than the Sunday races, I can usually race just after school, which would be around 4:00 pm EDT. Unless I've got homework of course. And the other random times that I happen to be on.

My head is spinning Could we please just keep to UT (Universal Time)?
