Topic: Splatoon Wii U Online Thread (Nintendo Network ID)

I'm also currently looking for some friends that are active on Splatoon (I currently have no friends at all).

I just got Splatoon today guys and can't seem to play online Turg Wars with strangers at all! Really teeing me off! Is anyone up for a social experiment, add me and see whether it's because of distance and stuff and hopefully not my internet??

@Liam1894 - unfortuantely, compared to my other experience with Playstation, online with Nintendo is fiddly ... I have to put an fixed IP on the console, and open that on my modem - after first buying a new modem ! since the old one didn't allow me to add a port ... there is lots on the internet about it (if you get an error code searching for online game, as I did - search that code)

even now, it works, but I get lots of disconnects (and my internet is wired, and pretty good)

I get disconnected during the match or when matchmaking about every one of 50 matches. I purchased the Wii U USB LAN adapter a few days ago, recieving it in a few days, and hope it will help. I'll take your advice and search the error code next time I see it, since I have never heard that a fixed IP for the Wii U solves connectivity problems.

I'm looking to do some squad and private battles and would like avid Splatoon players to go up against/play alongside... I'd also prefer it if it were with people who are up for external voice-chat, just so we can talk tactics etc. I already do that with a few friends and it makes a world of a difference to the gameplay.

Moreover, I'd also like to try it a 4v4 rollers vs snipers match...me and my friend have been arguing who'd win a turf war or a splat zones if were a team of rollers up against a team of snipers! I'd like to make that a reality and see if the rollers would actually win or not!
