Pokemon has been around for quite some time. Each new release gives us a new generation of Pokemon and a new world to explore. Out of all of the generations, which is your favorite?

Mine is 2nd gen because the Jhoto region was awesome.

I liked Johto as well, but I loved kalos, so 2nd and 6th.

You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

Generation 2 was the best for me. Generation 3 was very good as well. Then it became exactly the same, again and again, and I stopped playing thankfully.

I like the layout of Johto the best, Hoenn's new Pokemon were the best for me, and 4th gen's metagame was my favorite. I can't really say which single generation was my favorite because they all added neat charms that made them all great to me.
But if I had to pick one, it'd be third because that was the first time I ever completed the Pokedex and the first time I ever got my whole team to level 100.

Exactly the above, but I guess my all time favourite would be the second generation.

I would say 2nd gen, then 6th gen for me. These two just give me the greatest sense of adventure and have the characters I remember best and care the most about.

Whatever gen that isn't full of water.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

3 for me, I loved everything in the games. And it is the only generation where I got all versions (ruby, sapphire and emerald). I want to see a remake soon.

5th gen if I had to choose one. I was more engrossed in the Unova region then any of the others, probably because it's based on my hometown.

A dying animal struggles, thrashes and howls in protest as its life torn from it. To see this in action, watch Animal Planet. The same thing happens when a video game is or isn't released. To see this in action, stay here.

Pokémon Gold & Silver - that was the dream man.

1. Dat poopoodoodoocacapoopledoopledoggiepoops was in colour.
2. Night and Day!
3. 100 New Pokémon!!!!
4.Genders and breeding!!!!!!

Seriusly, that was when I was THE MOST excited for pokemon. The changes were so fresh and new and fun and.... ahhhh
I remember fondly, reading about it in ONM (back when it was NOM). Even stuff like the bag compartments. It felt like I was going on a new adventure. I have not had that in a long long time with video games.
Maybe it is my age, or that the biggest changes have already happened. But that, to me, will be my golden years.

p.s. Lost this game (and my GB colour) about a month after I got it, didn't even catch Lugia. Haven't beat a Pokémon since, until X.
Please watch the profanity — TBD

Best Pokemon: 1st gen
Best region: 2nd gen
Best mechanics: 6th gen

The best thing about 3rd gen was that it had remakes of 1st gen. Hoenn is pretty dull.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

neohopeSTF

Emerald and Platinum are the best and Red/Blue are the worst for the lack of features.

3was nice and had great starters, 4th introduced online and new weather, and the best after game content was with 5th. I think I was the only person in the world who didn't like Black and White 2.
