Having tied up the Playstation 3 Fan Thread with attempts to get online matches going for too long, I thought it might be a good idea to set up a separate thread in the Online Gaming section of the forum. Maybe we can work out a scheduled time to play...
For the time being, I would like it known that I'll be on the game tonight starting at 9pm Eastern Daylight Time, PSN ID Stuffgamer1 (of course). Feel free to join!
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

I would like to play but that's 3am where I am, so I can't. Have fun!

A sadly common problem when setting up game times on a site based in Europe. I usually play at night, so we might never wind up playing together.

I will play with you when I get the game and my PS3. The game from Amazon will probably come tomorrow but the PS3 probably will take a few more months >.>
Probably getting a Vita with LBP soon...

@Roopa: You really picked the WRONG people to fix that thing, but that's a discussion for the general PS Fan thread.
Anyway, I may be up for playing when I get home from work today around 4pm EDT. Might be your big chance, billy-beauts! Just let me know if you're interested.

I just finished Uncharted 2 Singleplayer so from now on I'm open to multiplayer games.

All right, cool, Roopa! My clan moved game night back to Tuesday at 9pm Eastern, but I'm generally up to playing other times as well. Most nights, really. Of course, that's somewhat inconvenient given time zone differences...
EDIT: HUGE NEWS! For today, Oct. 16 only, until midnight Pacific, Uncharted 2 has QUINTUPLE CASH!

I didn't play Multiplayer yet but quintuple cash sounds good although I don't know what the cash is used for I think I'll play a lot today.

@turtlelink: No problem, man, it takes a while to learn stuff. A headset would definitely help, though. It wasn't even my idea to leave you behind, either...that was an unfortunate side-effect of some of the other people in the party wanting to meet up with OTHER friends. They eventually ditched NotPennysBoat and me, too.
@Roopa: Cash is both in-game currency to buy new multiplayer skins, boosters, and upgrades; and the multiplayer "experience" with which you level up. I went from level 47 to 52 last night.
EDIT: Just so there's no confusion, though: The quintuple cash event ended half an hour before you posted that. Sorry, Roopa, you missed out.

Oh crap right it's Sunday already. And there I was playing and thinking: "Wow if this is quintuple cash it must take ages to get enough money to level up or buy stuff when there's only the normal amount of cash."Oh well, it still was really fun and I'm level 15 already and I have a lot of money but nothing good unlocked in the shop yet Edit: Also I just killed 3 teammates with a grenade in the Elimination spawn because my controller fell down and the shoulder buttons are so sensitive. I panicked and turned my PS3 off I hope my inbox isn't full of angry messages when I turn it on again.

Aww...I'm sure they would've understood if you'd just explained yourself. The PS3 triggers ARE quite sensitive...I'd like to think most people playing PS3 would know that.
But yeah, it really is a great game. I find myself wanting to play it more and more lately...I put in seven hours last night and STILL want to play tonight! That's absurdly unprecidented for me.

Maybe Stuffgamer1, turtlelink and Roopa132 can play Uncharted 2 Among Thieves 3 player co-op this weekend. My PlayStation 3 Bluetooth Headset from Amazon should arrive in the next two days.
14. Posted: Mon 18th Oct 2010 20:48 BST
Be careful doing that. They start giving you a quit penalty when you do that and I think it gets bigger over time. I feel sorry for letting Stuff wait for my match to be over because i didn't want to lose $10,000(,000?) cash and wait 30 seconds to leave.
15. Posted: Tue 19th Oct 2010 00:58 BST
@turtlelink: If your system gets turned off, you shouldn't be given a quit penalty...that's really only for if you quit manually. Uncharted 2 is very good about not penalizing for any disconnection that could be out of the player's control, and power outages would be included in that. Unless the game has a way to tell whether the power was cut suddenly or turned off manually, but I doubt that.
And don't worry about the wait. It's an understood necessity because of the quit penalty. Besides which, I simply left the room and did something else for a moment while waiting, so it wasn't time wasted.
@Roopa: Perhaps, if turtlelink gets a headset. Co-op isn't too good an idea without one. It IS, however, much better once you get some weapon upgrades. I have them all now.
16. Posted: Tue 19th Oct 2010 05:36 BST
I didn't get a penalty.I got one another time though when everyone was stuck in the game lobby and the game just loaded forever so everyone quit manually.I didn't buy any Co-Op upgrades yet because I though I'll need the money for boosters and a skin or two. Also according to my PSN ID list turtlelink has a mic. And according to the additional information he just doesn't use it often.
Edit: Also important:I think this site is perfect for planning matches with players from different timezones: http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedform.htmlThere you can fix a time and it gives you a link and it lists what that time is in every other timezone.
Edit2: I just got my headset

I'll use my mic if you want me too.I just couldn't use it that day because I didn't have it at the moment.
18. Posted: Wed 20th Oct 2010 20:42 BST
Yeah a mic would make it way more fun!I just hope you'll be able to understand me because while I have lots of experience in writing in English thanks to the internet, I basically never get the chance to actually talk in English (except in the subject English in school) so my pronunciation might not be so good...
Also @Stuffgamer1: turtlelink / tishr and I are planning to play Co-Op at this time.
Is that ok with you? If it's too early, since it's weekend I could also play later (the time above is 10:20pm for me, but I would even play at 2am to play with you guys)
19. Posted: Thu 21st Oct 2010 09:46 BST
I get off work ten minutes after your prescribed time on Friday, so I may be able to join you by the hour after, if I'm up to it. It's a long shift, so I really won't know until the time comes.
Iffy pronunciation could make things...interesting. It'll be fun! Hey, at least you speak English at all...I've played online with some Germans who DON'T. Not too fun.

Playing with you guys yesterday was really fun.Sorry for dying all the time.
