I can say that you most likely are doing it right. As odd as that sounds...
But in the unfortunate case i described above, I'm not even limited--I have 100 FCs.

Kidding, both FCs have to be registered e.g.: Reggie Fils' FC is 6787-1111-4541-7877; I've added him...but he didn't add me....so we can't be buddies until he does. That is why you may have "Provisionally Registered" FC's. I explained to @ TobuKatsu earlier, my situation is a situation that I'm forced to sacrifice another....which is why I tend to add people who've been playing and will keep playing.

If I do get you as a friend than you will be the first friend code I have for the safari. I have yet to go in it due to the fact of no friends.
First, I'd recommend that you put your FC in your signature (Grey wording at the bottom of you posts.) You can do this by scrolling to the top-screen, click Edit Profile, and scroll to the bottom to fill whatever you feel comfortable with.

Yes I am someone who tends to play. Whenever I have spare time I am playing. I get it if you do not want to add me no hard feelings
It's also a good idea to put your *I*n-*G*ame *N*ame in your signature as well....people who have a lot of FCs usually have at least one person with a duplicate name; there are also times when the people you've added show up in your passersby list.
I'm now in a similar situation....I don't know who you are!

I'm usually pretty open to answer a lot of things, but it's easier if you use "@" with a name attached to direct things at whoever you're trying to direct it to.
IGN is your characters name ...in game.
