PokeTransporter and PokeBank came out/coming out I don't really care so pokemon like Zekrom and Reshiram and Dialga and stuff will be easy to GTS for a Xerneas soon (Since they'll be as popular due to PokeBank.)
So my thoughts are, don't pay the annual fee (Never pay the paid thingies in games. Not worth it.) and just GTS your way to Victory.
Eventually you'll know all of the tricks of trading and get every legendary.
