I'm on X. Pretty sure it isn't exclusive, but some pokemon can be very rare. I took 30 minutes to find a Mawile in Glittering Cave, for example.

@Aceace. get a pokemon with meanlook or whatever (the move that stops pokemon from fleeing, trapinch or dugtrio for example)
enter and exit a route (check your pokedex everytime to see where it is) eventually it'll end up on your route.
Max repel up, encouter bird, first pokemon is trapinch (or whatever). Now it can't flee. Weaken and capture, if you kill it reset.
