How many swagger users did you find?

Aron on a sandteam is the strategy I used in x/y.

There are a few now and then, but they rarely caused problems. After one round, you are still at full health, they are not, and your whole team has the speed advantage... worst case when you get swaggered, you just switch out. Typically they are injured and the remaining two attackers can take down 2 of the 3 enemies.

I used Lvl 1 Aron with Tyranitar for rotation Battles in X/Y.

With the addition of Move Tutors in ORAS, we have even more things to spend our Battle Points on.
So I thought I'd share my favorite Battle Maison BP farming Triples Team.
I pretty much stole this team from a guy online (Slowbro202 I think?) in the early days of X/Y and easily racked up over 200+ wins in the Triple Maison.

After 50 wins, you get 7 BP per battle, and this team usually wins for you in 2 or 3 rounds so its quick.
To see them in action, check out this Battle I just saved where I defeat a Maison trainer's Six Legenday Pokémon without taking a single hit!

Here they are, first 3 lead, second 3 bench:

---------LEAD------------------------

TALONFLAME @Sharp Beak /Sky Plate
-Adamant, Gale Wings
EVs - Max Attack, the rest split between HP and Speed
MOVES

  • Brave Bird (can hit any opponent in triples)
  • Flare Blitz
  • Tailwind
  • U-turn

BLASTOISE @Blastoisinite
-Modest, Torrent
EVs - 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
MOVES

  • Water Spout (Hits all Adjacent foes, more damage with Max HP)
  • Ice Beam
  • Aura Sphere
  • Protect

GRENINJA @Focus Sash
-Timid, Protean
EVs - 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
MOVES

  • Dark Pulse (can hit any opponent in triples)
  • Ice Beam
  • Grass Knot
  • Mat Block

---------BENCH------------------------

ROTOM (W) @Wide Lens
-Modest, Levitate
EVs - 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
MOVES

  • Hydro Pump
  • Thunderbolt
  • Dark Pulse (can hit any opponent in triples)
  • Will-O-Wisp (Protect/Charge Beam)

GARCHOMP @Life Orb
-Adamant, Rough Skin
EVs- 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 SpD
MOVES

  • Dragon Claw
  • Earthquake
  • Crunch
  • Protect

TOGEKISS @Choice Scarf
-Timid, Serene Grace
EVs - 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
MOVES

  • Air Slash (60% flinch chance, can hit any opponent in triples)
  • Dazzling Gleam (Hits any adjacent)
  • Aura Sphere (can hit any opponent in triples)
  • Flamethrower

Round #1 Strategy:
-Talonflame --> Use priority Tailwind
-Blastoise (Mega) --> Use Water Spout, unless an opponent out speeds Greninja, then protect; OR if you suspect Status, you may protect
-Greninja --> Mat Block, max speed Greninja outspeeds most foes and Mat Block stops all damaging attacks while you set up.

There you go! In my experience, only two things ever stopped this team, and you need to watch out for them.

#1) Trick Room - If you suspect a trick room, forego the above strategy and focus attack the Tricker

#2) Snatch - This is UBER rare, but they did defeat me once with a Honchkrow who Snatched my Tailwind... beware!

@lordblackenhand Nice! I feel like I've seen this strategy somewhere before?

Does anyone have a competitive blue pentagon Thundurus I can have? I don't care if it's cloned. I'd prefer modest nature, with max iv's in at least special attack and speed. I have Omega Ruby so I can't catch my own.

@megabeedrill Thanks, that trainer name Ninja, that's from a save file I used for Black that I found on Youtube. I brought them all over and I use them and my 6iv Ditto to breed whatever Pokemon I need quickly.

@Leftwingzero I read that the Pentagon was supposedly a "Hack checker"? (Serebii etc...)

I personally just verified that this is a bunch of BS. All it does is tell you the pokemon is Gen 6 originated, ie X/Y or ORAS.

How did I verify this? First, I noted in my PC that this was the case for every pokemon in it. So I decided to test it.

Popped in a Copy of Pokémon White, ducked into the Mistralton Cave and caught a wild Tynamo, first pokemon I ran into with a Quick Ball.

Put Tynamon in PC Box 1 and saved the game.

Exited game, and Loaded Pokémon transporter, transporting PC Box 1 with only Tynamo in it.

Loaded Pokémon Bank and moved Tynamo into my Alpha Sapphire PC Box 1.

Loaded AS and checked it... No Pentagon. And nowhere in that process was there anything that could be hinted at Hacking.

100% Legit, untainted Tynamo with no Pentagon.

Just FYI

Also, worthy of note. I have some Gen 6 Pokémon that I KNOW are hacked... and they have the Pentagon.

If you datamine pokebank, it reveals that the pentagon will be displayed for:
X
Y
Omega Ruby
Alpha Sapphire
Blank
Blank

This is to show that if the pokemon is caught or hatched in those games, then a pentagon will be displayed. Notice two unnamed games also in the data list, this is more than likely for the next installments.

Yeah, the pentagon means it was obtained in X/Y/OR/AS whether legitimately or not. I just need a good Thundurus with a pentagon being only pentagon Pokemon are allowed in Battle Spot ranked battles.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Boy I bet that has a lot of people are upset who slaved away in the early days to breed good IV competitive sets... not to mention shiny...

The only saving grace is how easy they've made it to breed great legit pokemon in the current Gen.
