I know what it is, it is so no two pokemon can have the same two items. But I am just confused on how often it is actually used in battles, Is it only used for official tournaments? What about unoffcial ones? Would anyone get annoyed if I have two Pokes with the same item in a random battle set up here or on other sites such as Smogon?
