What color and fur options are there for maltese? is that the only fur length available?

I have no idea really. I didn't have the option of choosing a Maltese in the beginning; I guess I must've unlocked it. The only kind available was the one I got. You're better off asking someone with the Golden Retriever edition.

That Maltese reminds me of the polar bear Knut when he was a baby.

At the moment, I'm reliving my original Nintendogs experience with a yellow Labrador named Davey. Once I raise me some sweet dollar bills, I'm going to splurge on a cat, and an additional dog which I hope to call Lobster.

I also notice that the house you have is different from the ones I have. I noticed that house in some other pictures, but it's not one that I can get. I wonder if all the rooms are different on the different versions of the game?

My best guess is that you get rooms fitting the theme of the game you bought:
Golden Retriever/Shiva Inu -> Traditional
Toy Poodle -> Cute
French Bulldog -> Modern

But they could also be random, i don't know.

Weird, I did get a traditional room.

Each game starts with certain rooms but you are able to unlock all the content from all three versions by accumulating owner points.

Barley got my 3DS when Midnight Purple was out so I barely started playing Nintendogs. I will have some pics up as well in a bit.

I started with Modern.

Started with Traditional room, but now I have a Mario room.

I have all 6 pet slots filled and a Gold Bar and three Promise Rings.

I'm just a few items away from the RoboPup too, and I clocked Nintendogs Cup on Disc and Lure. I haven't played Obidience for ages since you need AR Cards for it though
