Man .......music is a pain in the butt to do when you dont know anything about creating it. I like the art part better. Then again I know something about that.
This one game is coming along. Got the main codes in. I'm just making final decisions on the artwork. I'm gonna try to improve the gameplay, hopefully make it more interesting. Got the ds for the week so i can work on this and hopefully get a game made to enter the contest. I havent entered one yet. I think makin my own music from scratch is gonna slow me down though.
The difficulty of making music depends on your auditive talents. Fortunately, composing a phrase is much easier than composing a whole record.
If you want an advice, it's possible to make a good phrase using only the rhythm track. If all else fails, I suggest you either just import a phrase from a Diamond record or game, or use the maestro feature.
The First game I made it just a poto type. (since I only had the game for a week But I'm working on one that brings back old with new. That Track I made it just a Demo, to just hint to what I'm making. And also, I added everyone here.and if your New here, My FC is just Down there.

I find the Game Makermatic the easiest, I like making games way more than records and comics. Whats funny though is that im very talented when it comes to music, ( I play Electric Guitar, Piano, Ocarina, Flute and Clarinet) yet I STINK at the Record makermatic.
