Yeah I've gotten S rank on all the bronze and silver and only one gold so far. It definitely gets harder in the gold cup to get s rank though. Instead of maybe one or two tries its more like 5-10.

I got a S ranking on everything but it took awhile. You have to play a track over and over sometimes to learn it well enough.
