Just picked this up. Played a bit of the single player. I'd like to join up with some of you, but, it just won't connect...

Anyone else had this prob? It just sits at "Please Wait" with the circle in motion and never connects. Other games work fine, but not this one. I let it sit for 10 minutes yesterday and nothing.

Thoughts?

Might be trying to update. There's a small glitch where some usernames wouldn't allow the game to update. Try changing your username and connecting again.

@RDB, the same thing happend with me when I first rented the game a couple months ago. I never did get online the first time but when I rented it again I didnt have any problems getting connected. Like Irken said it's probably just an update.

Thanks fellas... got is working with the update and all. It actually said I hadn't agreed to the t&c of the wii usage??? After 3 years, c'mon... had to have something to do with region changes in GE.

Oh well. Next time I'm on I'll get my fc posted. Hope to see some of you out soon.

I only rented the game to try it out. If you plan on playing this game for awhile I might have to go find a cheap copy to buy. That sucks to because I just erased all my save data, I wasn't sure I was gonna be playing it again.

Rory, don't worry bout it. I'm playing GE so much this will get very limited play time for now. And I'm only a lvl5 anyway. It's tough to get the feel of it after GE.

Oh and good luck finding a "cheap" copy. Best I could find was used 35 shipped on ebay.

Who doesn't love shaking the nunchuck to reload?
Or ADS carefully with the Wii mote or holding the gun sideways and customizing the reticule?
These things set the Wii version apart.

I rented this game for the 3rd time and had to take it back today so sad. If I can ever find a new job I'm sooo getting this game the online play is so additive. I was happy to see there was so many people still playing it I never had any trouble finding people to play with.

Ok, I'm getting it but have only played Free For All and Team Death Match out of fear of being "That Guy" that doesn't know what the hell he is doing and not having a head set. I'm pretty decent at the two modes I have played but it sounds like you would need a head set to play the other modes sounds like there would be planning evolved is that true?

I don't think your required to have a headset. Most of the people I've ran into online that use them don't really seem to be using them for any real purpose. I usually disable the voice chat because I get tired of listening to random chatter. I've never ran into anyone who really seem to use the ability to talk to other players constructively. I guess it just depends on your preference.

K, will add you Ecto. FYI I'm not very good I'm like a 48 ranking but it's misleading I'm average for the most part and pretty much only play Team Death Match and Free For All. It's funny because one game I will be at the top or near the top of my team in kills and the next dead last. I either get in a grove of doing good or doing bad never in between.

Don't worry, that's also pretty much how I am. One match I can dominate the other team with a 3:1 kill death ratio, the next I'm lucky if my ratio is 1:1.

It was nice to play with somebody on here for a change.
