There is no need to be defensive or apologetic, I was only asking questions. I just don't want to split up the community user base or leave those without Plus in the dark. You can of course do what you want if you disagree.

Like Pix, I don't see the advantage. Direct communication would be useful for friend matches, but community stuff should be where everyone will see, and everyone on NL uses NL. I don't see how it would be seamless to have to check two sites. That seems seamed to me.

Again, this is my opinion which I freely and passively offer as a service to you all, not me saying, No, G+ is dumb, stop that.

I'm not being defensive at all. I'll set an example:

You cruising through this thread, looking for what's new in the community, particularly a tournament. But then, you have everyone posting, having dicussions amongst themselves (sometimes 3 different at one time), you're looking around, taking a bit more time than it should. Or, you ask a question towards someone, but it's drowned out of other posts.

What I'm doing is trying to make things less tedious. Checking two sites shouldn't be a hassle, and neither should be trying to talk to someone or find something on NL.

On this fan page, we can easily organise tournaments and let everyone know at once whats going on without people being left out. It'll be just simple postings on what's going on in the MK7 NL community, with organized dates and times set in one place without having to bury around and waste time. That's the purpose I made it for. And making a Google account should not be a hurdle. For those who have one, use the fan page or not. Those who don't have it- well, it's just as free and as easy to make an NL account.

And I brought up that example from experience and what I see here on NL.

And this page isn't to split anything up. Discussions will take place here regardless, and I'm not trying to take anything away, rather, make things easy and convinient. On the page, you can't post freely like you do on NL threads, unless a status or message is posted (like commenting on a friend's status on Facebook). If you clicked it, It's specifically refering to Nintendo Life anyhow. It's set up for the NL Community that will be set up when MK7 comes out. You can say I'm being defensive, but I think someone was being a bit hostile.

Anyways, hope you see the point I'm getting at.

Anyway, I started this thread so that I would be in charge of the first post. I will update the first post whenever there are tournaments or events, so anyone who can't bother to sift through long discussions can just check the original post. Seems simple enough and works on every forum I have ever used.

Fair enough. I consider it sarcasm than being defensive, since I'm the one who typed it. Least, that's what it was supposed to be. And I was referring to "splitting NL up" being a hostile statement- what made you think that was the purpose of having a page, with all the tounaments being held convinently in one spot and being able to easily communicate with people from NL. I talk to people from NL outside of the forums and even then, we still come here. Nothing split up. If you thought I was trying to take over anything- I'm not.

Anyways, I'll still leave it there if anyone's interested. Don't see the problem either way.

I wasn't saying it was your intention to split up the community, but just that it could happen. Someone might end up posting more in one place than the other, despite your personal intention to post everything in both places, and then anyone who only reads in one place would be cut off from part of the information flow.

There's no problem with leaving it. Like I said, I was just asking questions. I like Google's products, so I was curious what it could do that we couldn't more conveniently do here. Doesn't seem like anything though. I will update the main post with both a list of communities and a list of upcoming events for everyone's convenience.

The easier it is for you guys to get on the course and race, the more of you I have to destroy, so it should work well for everyone.

If someone posts more in one spot, that's on them. And it shouldn't matter, considering discussions will take place on this thread more than on that page. You cannot willingly post on the page, only a status post (say a tournament you posted here, would be posted on that site and people with comments and the like could post there and will be talking about that specific tournament). Just trying to have the best of both worlds. And i'm not here trying to advertise or shove google+ down people's throats lol i dont care if people like or dislike google.

Anyway, I don't see any reason for duplicate communities, so since I can't remember which one was first, if someone could volunteer one of those two to be deleted, that would be fantasticular.
