What good would Mario Kart be without the items? Maybe just turn off the blue shell/whatever items you dont like, but without any items it would be boring imo. Though the return of coins giving you a slight speed increase would make it slightly better

I agree. I say the Mario Kart 7 NL Community should have all of the elements implemented in the game as it is. If people want specific rules such as Mii's, standard karts, no items then they can create their own communities.

I think James or someone from NL staff should make the community...

All items on for me. But I'm sure I'll dabble in some other settings every now and then.

Otay then. Guess no one knows if there can be communities with the same name...
53. Posted: Sun 13th Nov 2011 02:18 GMT
I would assume it's like friend codes. The name isn't what is registered online; it's the number.

That's what I had thought (raised a point about the codes being a good thing awhile ago).
I want to be the first to create a community of Turtle fans

No problem. Turtles are underappreciated and there's gotta be some order set in place. Even if it means Mario Kart 7.

I made an unofficial Mario Kart 7 page for Nintendolife on Google+. I suggest people who have Google+ make a circle dedicated just to Mario Kart 7 friends so if you're holding a race or something, you can immediately let everyone know at once.
Oh, and to make a Google+ account, you only need to use your Google account. So, basically, you can sign in using your Gmail account- it's all tied to one

Couldn't we just as easily use this thread instead of making it so people have to post and check on two different sites to be fully up to date? What advantage does Google Plus confer to counterbalance this? If you just want instant updates here you can subscribe to the thread, and everyone here already has an NL account but might not have a Google one. Not trying to be a party pooper, just trying to see the purpose. I fooled around with Plus for awhile and didn't really feel it was anything special, myself.

Google Plus? No thanks, let's stick to this thread.
I made Kid Tripp! PocketGamer gave it a 9 out of 10! You should totally buy it now!

There is a point. It's there for anyone interested, regardless. And it's not like it's there to move people away from Nintendolife. It's really more organized if you want to talk to someone directly if this thread goes boom in activity, just as some other threads such as the Goldeneye 007 thread, as an example and from experience.
Sorry for trying to make things seamless. And what you might not find useful, could be useful for someone else.
