I normally play on my own,and I've never played Monopoly.
I kinda want to get it,but the game is quite expensive at £40.

Is it like Monopoly?

I'd say the best way to describe it is that it's similar to Monopoly, but better.

Tell me about it.
Was playing a game online before and had like the worst luck ever.
Only ended up with four shops, but managed to finish in third by managing my stocks well.
Now playing on that stupid Mario Galaxy board. D:

I don't ever pay £40 for games - it is currently £21 something on Amazon with free delivery. Well worth it. You have to like Monopoly to appreciate it, but I reckon it's far more strategic than Monopoly. I've had it 2 months now and have literally played it for hundreds of hours! (annoyingly it only records your usage up to 99:59 hours!) I keep meaning to delve into the Wii memory to see if it's logged there somewhere - is it on the Wii Channel or something? Although I think the amount of time would actually frighten me!

Thanks - OK, I've clocked up about 270 hours already. It's nothing compared to the 900 hours I clocked up on Animal Crossing, but that was over an entire year!

I think it's a wee bit addictive...lol

Finally won the Golden Globination Trophy (I think that's what it's called - the one that you have to win the game while owning every single shop on the board)...took some doing! lol

To be honest, I thought it would unlock some pretty nifty mascot or something, but it didn't unlock a thing, which was really disappointing. I've now realised I already have all the mascots, and pretty much everything else. I have one more role to unlock.

I have purchased all mascots/accessories, all funny outfits and sets, all personalities, all roles except the remaining locked one...just need to work my way through the boring clothes now (the first three options - casual, formal and sports). Don't know what I'll do when I have everything...? Any suggestions? hehehe

No, actually, I have already figured this out then forgot again - I'll start again as a MAN! You lot get different outfits...lol

I had the most insane game yesterday. I was determined to unlock the last trophy that had so far eluded me. It was the one you win for getting high dividends on your stocks...so I played a free game on the Pirate Ship...set the limit to 350,000 and three bankruptcies, and selected a few building plots...and...

By the end of the game, none of my AI opponents had actually gone bankrupt, but I had total domination of three districts, and had bought literally thousands of stocks in one district, and maxed out all the shops in it, and the stock value was heading for 400.

I got the trophy, but it was BRONZE, so now I assume you have to do something similar in two districts for silver and three districts for gold...I'll try again another day, when I feel just as insane! lol

Currently I'm trying to buy EVERYTHING in the shop. I have about a dozen sportswear items to go, and I'm done. Then there is one more role or personality that's still locked, but I'm guessing that will appear for buying everything, and then I'll have it all. :-D

I'm still playing it, occasionally. Though I got fed up trying to go online. Everyone seems to either abandon the game or switch to automatic and let the computer play for them - no fun! :-(
