Awww Dagnabbit!! Oh well. I'm not starting again! LOL Thanks Pro.

What's this bit for again?

We're improving at high rates here. Last time with Prosody and Jim even a Barroth was pretty easy.

I want to make a bowgun, only weapon I havent tested cause it seems too complicated with all the parts and the different ammunition and stuff.

See you guys tonight.

Aye, I've been neglecting online, went back to the village and have been hanging there all weekend. Kinda felt a bit weird online, I was beating monsters I hadn't even met solo, so, I decided to take 'em out on my own instead of relying on buddies and not really knowing if my skills were improving. Now, they are, I can take down a Barroth with relative ease and even smote that ugly **** Gigginox. Wooh!

Also, I felt I was getting parts for weapons I shouldn't be, I've been much happier in solo, watching a more natural progression. I've got one 4* quest remaining (Hunt Barroth and Great Jaggi) and then I shall arrive back online, probably tonight or tomorrow, depending on how that fight goes.

That post is like a realisation for me. I don't want to end up relying on friends to accumulate weapons, and so I too will spend more time offline.

Oh, I didn't mean to push you offline dude. :/ I just didn't wanna play the support role, which is all I was. Now I've pwned single player I'm alot more confident on teh battlefield and might actually feel of some use.

How quick would you say your improvement was. Because if you can already beat a Barroth on your own, I'm seriously lagging behind.

That being said, I remember constantly getting owned by a great jaggi, yet as soon as I purchased a Switch-axe (online no less, although it didn't require resources outside my skill level), I beat him that day - and more recently, I defeated a Quropeco on my own, with little trouble.

When you spend time with someone alone, you get to know them better. I've actually beaten Barroth three times on my own now, but only so I could get the water/thunder friendly armour he provides, in preparation for my meeting with Laggy (which was awesome btw).

This is just me, I always do this. Hammer the single player so I'm comfy and don't have to think, then take my skills online. Now I'm up to 4* Quests I'll head back to the city. Hopefully I'll bump into Edward whilst there.

Enjoy that quest, lol....had to deal with 3 giants all at the same time, didn't know what to do. XD

But yeah, kinda felt somewhat the same, online was great, but was getting at the point where I was starting to encounter new monsters and when fighting them with others I didn't do much but kept being knocked away by random attacks, lol. I even decided to go fight Barioth online by MYSELF for some stupid reason and got killed in 5 minutes. XD
So I'm taking a break from online for a bit. (loving Gobul's armor...)

Oh I will do. assuming I don't die ;P

Just realised... @edhe: I'd play offline until your farm is productive enough to supply you with all the potions and goodness you'll need for all the sick online quests. I am a big fan of Max Potions, DemonDrug, ArmourSkin and the like, having faffed about offline for so long my stocks are very high.

edit: which reminds me, I made an Ancient Potion last night. Maxed out Health and Stamina... scrumdidlyumptious.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?

Ha, yeah. I've actually printed off the entire item section and have it beside me whilst playing. But in case you can't be bothered looking it's Immunizer + Kelbi Horn (stun-tastic).

AAAAGGH!

Just spent half an hour getting my MHTri License sorted (see sig), and the damn thing squished Mii face. No matter what I do I can't fix it. D: Ah fudge it! I'll try again tomorrow, time to hunt. Gonna faff in the village for a bit before heading to the city.

I just got the game today. Completed a couple of 1* quests. Kind of getting the hang of it now. Will try and get online soon, once i get a little better. Also, like Luigi, I put in some random other name different from my NL username, now I cant change it . O well.

Offline practice is the way to go.

First time online I felt pretty useless(I'm usually a gunner online), now I feel like I'm actually contributing.
Laying traps, paintballing, healing bullets to team members, etc.
Crag shells to King Jaggi's head to get subquests is currently my speciality.

@Amorous Badger: I like the sound of those gunner skills, I hope you get to save my ass with a healing bullet some time. I'll add you the moment we are both on at the same time. I have a list of names I keep trying when I'm on, but this system is even worse than friend-codes if you ask me. Bleh!

Heh , those healing pellet skilz are the only way I'm likely to be of any use on a Barroth quest

I think the way to go here is for NL members to set up a room at an appointed time with a password and then exchange numbers like this. Obviously more than one room may be needed.

Who's up for this?
