We're going to try to keep this forum as streamlined as possible, which means we may see fit to delete posts that add nothing. If you find posts of yours going missing, it's not personal, we just need to figure out how this forum's going to work best for those looking for games. Having a four-page topic that consists of three pages of "I don't know if I should get this game" or some such helps nobody.

We all hope you enjoy using this forum and hope it creates many enjoyable online matches

Your not kidding about having an Online Gaming forum. I thought it'd be a few games.

I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Great idea having this forum. However I'm not sure that having two separate region threads for EVERY game is entirely necessary, especially when certain games have Worldwide capabilities. Having such a larger number of threads seems a bit unnecessary to me for some games (e.g., Water Warfare). Especially when you're trying to make the site a bit more user-friendly for those looking for something in particular, this can just be seen as confusing. But that's just my two cents. Feel free to jump in and offer your opinions, admins.

Does your forum software support "stickies?" If so, you should certainly put the evolving rules of this part of the forum into a tidy sticky thread for easy reference.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

Currently stickies are not supported, but they're on their way and we'll get this thread locked to the top.

As for the EU/NA threads, I'm curious as to what more people think about this approach. Yay, nay, special cases?

The regions are more about supporting matchups in nearby time zones than connectivity, really.

I'd say go for Worldwide threads, only for the fact that if we go NA/EU only, we're alienating our Aussie brethren. Just my two cents, people can always have what region they're from in their sig, or when they post in the thread. Then we could just look for who's in which region suits us.

Also, the first post in each thread could be a continually updating list of which users have the game, grouped under different regions there?

I`m kind of leaning towards yay. But it does depends on the game and the number of people who are going to populate the thread. If it is small, worldwide is the way to go, but it gets extremely messy with a lot of people and some games connectivity can be an issue. I`m not sure how to make a decision without the threads starting. Maybe it would be best to keep it this way, then merge the too threads if it seems better that way.

So it looks like the suggestions thus far are: Be consistent and keep them universal for each game or play it by individual case.

@Vendetta: Good point.

guys, please note that we're also deleting duplicate topics in here. if we've already set up a NA and EU topic for the game you're looking to play, you're more than welcome to add to those, but we're trying to see how it goes having everything separated between the two regions -- no making third 'international' threads, please. they're not necessary at the moment. If you're in one region and you're open to matches with people in the other, feel free to cross-post your FCs between the two threads. If you're creating a thread for a given game, please separate it by region as well, following the naming conventions laid out in every other thread in this forum.

even if you don't personally agree with how things are set up at the moment, just relax and give it a try for a while. if it turns out to be too much of a hassle, the system will be tweaked until we get something that works, we promise. :3

@geek-master: you are more than welcome to re-post your information in the two regional threads so long as you separate it out by each user's region. also, please understand that we're not trying to be mean or anything; we've got a format we're trying to stick to at the moment just to see how it works out. this is not a race to the the first to create a thread. there's no such thing as 'my' topic here; whatever you post in this section of the forums should be for the benefit of all users attempting to organize matches, not just to have your name in the 'created by' slot.
