Topic: Zelda Breath of the Wild is locked. Cannot play.

I had one shrine left till 13 hearts, farmed it two days, went for a few hours and put the console to sleep.
When I came back, I could not start playing zelda.
It has X in a progress bar, downloading some update (that does nothing according to yesterday's news) - but it have locked my game.
Reconnecting to WiFi did not help.
Turning off the console, did not help.

Thanks Nintendo. Hope my saves are alright. Cuz you know, I cannot even backup them. FFS.

Disconnecting the WiFi (delete or forget network) and restarting the console without network still shows X on progress bar without the option to start the game.

why have you removed the case?

Call the Nintendo support center. I had an issue where games I downloaded were not installed on the SD card though all previous ones were installed just fine. It resulted in games installed that took 0 mb and could not be booted.
I found nothing at all online nobody else had that issue so far but they helped me fix so they might be able to help you as well.

I have contacted chat support but they were so unproffesional that they told me to call them.
Any idea how I can redownload the game without losing the save games?
Last time I am buying a console day 0, I have had enough being a beta tester.

OK I have performed "corrupted data check", all data - ok but there was an option to redownload the game.
Hope it redownloads and the saves are ok.
But this is the last time I am buying any console, especially Nintendo.

I had the same problem, what i did was press the + key on Home screen, go to data management and "Delete" this does not delete save points then either re-download / re-insert cartridge, then press + button, and update. Then if you have paid for DLC go to the eShop and goto account status and re-download the DLC.

What does it add? (if there are not spoilers).
