Topic: Your Latest Switch Purchase

I picked up Portal Knights, ittleDew 2 and Overcooked tonight at Best Buy. I already have Overcooked digitally but wanted the physical copy for my collection.

My latest purchases have been: Dragon Quest Builders, Portal Knights, The Longest Five Minutes (pre ordered), and The Lost Sphear.

I also preordered The Longest 5 Minutes a couple of Days ago.

Most recent physical is Skyrim, have had it about a month now. 80 hours into it, playing a Redguard summoner/healer.

Got Strikers 1945 II a week ago. Very cool SHMUP.

When I got the Switch, I got Xenoblade 2 and Odyssey initially, played them to death. Blaster Master Zero then went on sale, and I was craving a bit of Metroidvania-like gameplay, so I got that and enjoyed my time and even beat it on Destroyer Mode. Then I got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to play with friends, and when Golf Story and Rocket League both went on sale, I got those two games too. I've been enjoying Golf Story, but Rocket League's controls are so weird lol. I need to spend more time with it to get used to the physics.

Just bought this on impulse too. Thanks for the heads up. Not bought or played a FIFA game since FIFA 11 on PS3 but used to play them annually before that. Anyway, like you say, for that price I just couldn't pass up the chance to give it a try for myself.

Bought Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, but I am waiting to finish Xenoblade 2 before I start it.

I think it’ll be a good portable game to play whilst I’m watching tv.

I also bought it yesterday, digital, from the "share the joy" promotion (30€). I'm quite impressed with the performance in handheld mode (have to test it in the TV yet). Nevertheless, the animations of the players are clearly worse than the PS4/XBO versions, so I think 30€ is a good price for what we get.

Never will I understand this kind of attitude. Why not focusing on just one thing instead doing both. Seems to be a waste of money, in my opinion.

Dude. If I’m playing an epic game like Xenoblade 2 or Zelda, then it has my full attention, but if there is 15 minutes until my football game starts and I am using the tv for that, then this kind of good, but not great, pick up and have a quick battle type game is perfect for that scenario.

How do you not understand this concept? The Switch is designed exactly for this.

I got a 128GB SD card the other day, and downloaded some games from the current sale: Golf Story, De Mambo, Worms WMD, and Enter the Gungeon. I haven't started Golf Story yet but De Mambo is a pretty fun multiplayer game (I've yet to try the solo mode), and I really like Worms and Gungeon so far.

I believe mine was Arcade Archives VS. Super Mario Bros. Not really worth $7 or whatever it was in my opinion, but I had money to spare, so oh well.

Well, then I misunderstood you - I thought that you are playing and watching simultaneously - which seems to be a habit of a lot of my students lately. So no offense.

Bought RE Revelations in the eshop sale.
Pre-ordered and pre-loaded Toki Tori 2 (I've seen enough to convince me it's going to be a lot of fun)

Physical copy of Rocket League the day after it released, and I have to say, that I simply cannot get into it.

It's a fun game don't get me wrong, but it's not £35 fun.

It's one of the very rare occasions where I wish I had bought it much cheaper digitally (I don't ever do digital as a rule).

I'll be trading it in one day this week as it is still worth £22 store credit in GAME, so I won't lose too much.

My only recent Switch purchases was a Switch and Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Forma.8. Anything on my watch list that drops below £5 is fair play in my book.
