Complex question for a person like me who juggles multiple games at once, stops games and then picks them up months or years later, and who gameshares with their nephew. So this'll be split into categories.
Games I own but haven't played at all
Castlevania Anniversary Collection
Contra Anniversary Collection
Hyper Light Drifter - Special Edition
Runner 3
The Messenger
Games I'm playing, but have yet to beat
AI: The Somnium Files
Games I beat, but I need to replay to see all content or which have additional post-game content
Dragon Quest XI S
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Games I loaned out in the middle of playing them
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
Collections where I beat some games, but not others
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2
Mutant Mudds Collection
Games I have access to thanks to sharing my digital library with my nephew, but which I haven't played yet
A Hat in Time
Baba is You
Dragon Quest Builders 2
Dungeon Village
MagiCat
Mega Man 11
Minecraft
Sega Genesis Classics
Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold
Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Untitled Goose Game
Games I've borrowed from someone else, but not started playing yet
Hmmm... I’ve tried (obviously not hard enough) not to buy games until I’ve finished one or two. I failed.
Games I’m partly through
The Witcher III (I’ll definitely finish at least the main campaign, and may even do the DLC...)
Baba Is You (may abandon this, but have enjoyed the 5-10hrs I’ve had so far)
Games I’ve dipped into for 30-60min and mean to come back to (but will have to restart from the beginning)
Bayonetta
Axiom Verge
Shovel Knight: Spectre of Shadows
Splatoon 2 (actually done more like 4-5hrs on this, but want to go back and finish the single-player campaign some day)
Enter the Gungeon (dubious if I ever come back to this, TBH)
Smash Bros (feel like I should do the single-player campaign)
Yet to start, but fully intend to
Ori and the Blind Forest
Dragon Quest XI S
Divinity: Original Sin 2
King of Cards
Into the Breach
Super Metroid, Super Mario World (via Switch Online)
Pikaniku (had initially forgotten I’d bought this, as it cost so little)
It’s not exactly a huge pile of shame, but I would also really like to do a few more playthroughs of FE Three Houses, and see the other paths.
Of course, there is also a 3DS, PSP and iOS backlog to throw into the mix, too. Less said...
Games in backlog I have started and plan to come back to finish:
Pokémon sword
hollow knight
axiom verge
shovel knight ( haven’t played any of dlc)
fire emblem 3 houses (only played as 1 house so far)
Legend of Zelda breath of the wild (need to beat ganon and finish shrines)
Skyrim (only beaten main campaign)
Super Mario oddessy
Dragon ball xenoverse 2
Mario + Rabbids
Tales of vesperia
starlink
tiny metal
steamworld dig
sky force reloaded
Fm touch 2018
snes games
nes games
multiplayer games I’ll likely revisit:
fifa 19
dragon ball fighter z
mario kart 8 deluxe
smash bros
splatoon 2
super Mario party
nba 2k19
Tetris 99
Abandoned games:
Xenoblade chronicles 2 (got 40hrs in and loved the story but cannot stand the combat)
Pokémon let’s go pikachu (fun nostalgic trip, but would rather play sword when I wanna play Pokémon now)
Octopath traveler
diablo (not my type of game)
civ 6 (too slow paced for a console game)
Doom
Manticore
Brawl out
War frame
Paladins
Arena of valor
Smite
Warhammer age of sigmar champions
Dawn of breakers
Brawlhalla
Pokemon quest
Fortnite
Fallout shelter
Galak-z: variant s
plague road
Various game demos
After typing this out it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. Most of the games I plan to come back to are multiplayer or I have already put in a good amount of time to and just need to finish off. My abandoned games list tells me I try most of the free games or I buy small games that were on huge sales to try them. There are a few bigger titles that just weren’t my type of game.
Far too deep. Sayonara Wild Hearts, Blazing Chrome, Sonic Mania, Moonlighter, and Destiny Connect are up next on my to-do list. That's after I'm through with either DQ XI, Vostok Inc., Raging Loop, Gorogoa, or Redout. Nevermind doing daily tasks in Animal Crossing or catching up on the backlog for the other platforms I own.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,241 games (as of March 23rd, 2024)

@megasean@Tyranexx I really feel that! The reason my Switch backlog is so large, though, is because I kept succumbing and adding more and more sale titles to my backlog. It just kind of builds up and you don't even notice. Nintendo owns my wallet.
@WaffleKnight I occasionally joke that "Property of Nintendo" needs stamped on my wallet, but I'm not completely kidding. I've had to change some of my purchasing rules for the time being to try and shave back some backlog.
I only listed my Switchlist. A good chunk of my backlog is also composed of 3/DS games I have yet to play, a couple of SNES Classic titles, and a couple of other games.
Thank goodness I've put off getting a Steam account as I had the intention at one point of picking up some indie titles that way. XD Maybe someday....
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
@Tyranexx You should definitely wait on the Steam account. I made one a little over half a year ago and the sales are UNFORGIVING. The reason I strayed away from PC gaming was mostly Gabe Newell shoving deals up my throat.
It's cool that you've got some backlogs on other systems, mainly the "ever-elusive" Classic Edition. Hope you have fun with those
@WaffleKnight Thanks! I've played most of the games on the SNES Classic at this point barring the four RPGs it comes with. I've already played both Earthbound and Super Mario RPG elsewhere. I'll likely play Secret of Mana when I get to the collection listed above, so that leaves Final Fantasy III/VI. I'm still wondering if that or X should be my first FF game. XD
Besides the sheer amount of games on offer on Steam, the frequent sales (while good in some respects) would mean I'd be drowning in unplayed games lol. Until a few months ago I had another excuse; my internet wasn't decent and was overloaded, but that situation has since been remedied.
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
