Just got an email from my local store that XC2 is now available for purchase. I’m so excited!! My wife just took a car for shopping.. now I’m thinkig of taking my kids and getting a cab to pick it up. I’m sick, I know.. or at least my wife thinks so

I ran about for an hour this morning. All I can say is it reminds me of Skies of Arcadia right now, which is a great thing! Looks fine to me in both docked and portable, I also like to game in "dynamic" 4K on my Pro so I'd have something to say if the resolution was bad it really isn't!

I expect to get pretty confused. Ya'll got me taking screenshots of every tutorial, even the ones explaining the most basic of things :')

@kyleforrester87 Definitely a good idea. Xenoblade games get massively complex (although I hear this one takes its time introducing you to its various systems and mechanics).

@kyleforrester87 This sounds very good. Skies of Arcadia remains still my favourite 3D-RPG to this day (HD remake incoming?;- ).

Found a small collision bug. I didn't pay attention to what the speech bubble said when I took the picture but now it just seems too perfect.

@Hughesy Chronicles X is my favourite game of all time, especially since it was a random gift from my mother. This is also from my mother, though not so random.

The moment they showed it off in January at what was 5am in the morning my tired eyes lit up like fireworks.

I mean not having the game right now is just a small footnote in the repeated kicks to the teeth ive had this year but I just want to explore this huge world and waste my December away.

As a complete noob to the series, I must say it’s amazing to play. Also the art style looks great. Goodbye weekend, I’m not going to do much else other than play this. I needed a game like this to play, as I have a court case coming up in a few weeks because of a car accident I was involved in way back in 2015 (yea it’s pretty ridiculous that it’s gone on this long, just a guy trying to get money from an accident he caused) so at least this will take my mind off it. Funny thing is the day before the case I pickup my brand new VW Golf, but I digress I’m going off topic here.

In all seriousness, XCX is still probably going to be favourite game ever, I've got the OST on right now. Hearing the president of MonolithSoft wants a Switch port fills my icy little heart with joy and hope for humanity.

Sorry 😬 After playing this I’m definitely going to play the other games in the series that’s for sure.

@Hughesy XCX is an almost completely different beast with MMO elements, raids, recruiting other players, a huge open world and exploration at the forefront. Battle system is mostly the same as the original though

At least it’ll give me a reason to dust off my Wii U😊 That’s for another day though, I’ve bougt three Switch games in the past few weeks as it is.

Just based off the footage I've seen so far, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is so much funnier than either of the previous two games. Especially XCX, where, almost halfway through, the only "comedy" seems to be Lin constantly threatening to murder and consume Tatsu.

I bought this at midnight at walmart and played NONSTOP for like 10 hours and had trouble putting it down.. it is THAT good... if you grew up on classic JRPG this game is a dream come true. This game makes the trash SE has been doing to FF the past few years look embarrassing. This game, honest to god, deserves at least an 8/10 if it had nothing going on for it but the soundtrack itself the soundtrack is THAT good.
But no, this game has more than a 10/10 soundtrack.. it has every other aspect of the game ready to back it up with superb quality and attention to detail. This is the type of quality all other RPGS should strive for.
I want to say SCREW that reviewer hating on this game from gamespot with a 7/10.. you can say you dont like the game.. you know, maybe RPG is not really your thing.. but you cant honestly write an unbaised review about this game and not rate it 9-10.

This is the real GOTY.. this is everything RPG lovers could ask for.

Anyway, I was SO pumped, the 2nd core crystal I opened was a rare blade with her @$$ hanging all over the place like Nintendo really published this game? Cool.

Also yes they need to crack down on the UK getting games 3-4 days early, they need to shut that down or open the game to worldwide release after that happens if they are going to allow that... you dont see that happening in the US.

Also anyone playing with the japanese voice overs is going to totally miss out on some hilarious lines and totally miss part of the game, is all I will say.

Uh you do, already seen people in the US playing it for a few days, so it’s not some weird UK problem.

@Hughesy It is definitely not a problem in the US like it is over seas. A couple people in the US might get the game early, over seas its not even a challenge apparently.

Yeah. And in the past, guess what? If we were lucky enough to get the game at all, it would be months after the US and sometimes still is. A simultaneous worldwide launch is RARE for us.

And when it happens, someone, somewhere decides, yes, lets "beep" this up for everyone.

After the issues with Pokemon XY in 2013, we only JUST got a same day release for a Pokemon game again, albeit right after Nintendo announced they were cracking down on the EU.

We have gone these past years with hardly any simultaneous releases. This year we only start getting them back and what will happen next year? Oh, EU gets it a month later. A week later. Just so leaks don't happen.
