That's a nice surprise. Bethesda, a third party partner, brings two very different FPS games to a system which has precisely none. Strange how the politics change.
Maybe I'll work on my PS4 backlog (Nier, Horizon, the entire Fall of 2016) and pick this up when it launches on Switch. I already can't play it at launch because of Mario.
I wonder if Doom and Wolfenstein will have pointer shooter controls on Switch since Skyrim features motion. Now that would be cool.
At last, a quality new AAA game announcement from a 3rd party. It only took 7 months and isn't out until next year.
I don't count Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle as it's a collaboration. And that other Ubisoft toys to life thing I wouldn't count either. I'm sorry if I forgot any other game, it's very late here.
Wonder how much Nintendo have paid Bethesda for these 3 games. Can't have been their decision. Maybe releasing 1 game to see how well it does with the Nintendo audience. But I doubt they'd put the resources into porting Wolfenstein if Nintendo hadn't paid them.
@Dezzy Not sure if they paid them or not but they are definitely working closely with them. So many people that have played Skyrim on the Switch are saying how smooth the game runs and with Amiibo support as well. Nintendo sure did go after the right company here to jump start the 3rds on the Switch. If Bethesda is successful then the sky's the limit on what we can see.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Dezzy Why not? You're just speculating, and I find it doubtful that a conservative company like Nintendo would spend on games that aren't even exclusive.
@Dezzy I honestly believe Bethesda did this with their own free will. Another question to be asked is,why would Nintendo pay for these games? Instead of GTA V? A game that has been released on everything.

I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations & Watch Dogs 2
I played the first Wolfenstein and was surprised at how good the game was. Shockingly good. One of the best FPS games I've played all generation, actually ( not that I've played too many, but at least for ones with single player campaigns I've played a few- Titanfall 2 was the other really good one).
This is hype. I can't believe I'm going to be playing this game on my Nintendo Switch
@Dezzy
Nah, if Nintendo is paying they would've just done it for one game they thought would sell well- Skyrim maybe, but Nintendo's not big on paying people to bring games. They will fund development and make a game exclusive but that's about it. Certainly wouldn't pay for Doom or Wolfenstein 2...
You can believe Bethesda is bringing this of their own accord. I imagine they were taken aback by Nintendo reaching out to them and were impressed by the system and the fact that it actually runs the engines their games are using, and they believed in it. They saw another smash hit like the Wii and decided to put their chips on the table.

Actually the game details say the game is both developed and published by Bethesda. I know they ran stories say Nintendo is publishing but the game is listed on their site right now with Bethesda as the publisher so...
