I think I remember it being confirmed for release in a collection several months ago and we ain't heard squat yet on a release date. They even showed us a trailer. For some dumb reason the sequel never made it to anything but PC and steam. We got the first one which i thought was really good although pretty frustrating at times. I was hoping to play the sequel on my switch. What happend? Is it still coming?

Yeah I was wondering that as well, no idea why it hasn't been released yet.

Ive been wondering the same thing. I even saw some news recently ( 2mos ago) saying there's a release coming soon.

@Zeldafan79 Perhaps the studio doing the port was hit with virus related problems? I mean a lot of things go messed up due to that sort of thing.

Possible but this game was long overdue before the virus hit. It just seems odd that it's been all quiet on the western front since the trailer dropped. We could use an update on the matter.

You can always try asking James or Mike on Facebook or Twitter they are quite active there.

Unrelated, but I've been watching avgn for a couple years now, and rental reviews for the last year. I've heard some other YouTubers and have read people bash cinemassacre for "selling out" to screenwave or something. And how they dislike kieren and Ryan. I'm not sure where all the hate stems from. If you were to type in screenwave media truth (or cinemassacre truth)there's a ton of people bashing them and i dont get why.

I absolutely love all the old and new content, as well as Tony kieren and justin. Ryan i barely see, so i dk what the fuss is about.

Back to the topic at hand lol. Let us know if anyone messages them. I'm not on social media of any kind, other than this and LinkedIn.

@NintendoByNature It's just people being dumb that's all. Unfortunately James addressed this issue before about adding new people (I think Ryan has been there for a few years just behind the scenes) but due to James having a family now (two kids you are young still) he needed the help to make the videos. Also that's why he dialed back on and just ended some series like Board James.

Also people tend to not notice that James isn't as big as a gamer as they think. Yeah he does AVGN but his expertise lies in movies and films not so much games. Hence why he does the movie reviews and more film based projects. He even said in the past that movies and films are more his forte and that the film related projects is stuff that he has really been wanting to do for awhile now but due to family and such he hasnt been able to get to till now.

Mike on the other hand tends to be more the games hence why he does alot of streaming on YouTube and more gaming related topics.

TLDR: Basically James has a family now and can't work on as many video projects as before he does AVGN because that's what he is known for and wants to keep it going. It was either have the others help or shutdown the channel.

@Tasuki yea I like all the different topics on cinemassacre and watch almost all of them. I really enjoy them, which Is why im surprised people literally loathe some of the cast.

Don't get me wrong, I like some more than others but they all bring something to the table.

And i figured gaming was something James loved as a child and young teen, but grew out of love and transitioned to film more. You can tell when he discusses new Games with Mike. It's almost like the child showing their dad their new console or game they just got lol.

Tasuki

@NintendoByNature Lol right you can so tell on James and Mike Mondays especially on the SMB3 episode a few weeks ago. You can tell that Mike plays it quite often and James hasn't in years. It seems like the only time I hear about him playing games not having to do with the channel is games he plays with his daughter like Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U. Even when discussing games with Mike he seems uncomfortable or just unsure.

I meet James in person a few years ago at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo and when people asked him about games or gaming in general he seemed uncomfortable and wasn't sure what to say. I even asked him if there is a game that he played as a child that he liked but now when he plays it he doesn't like it. He told me that there aren't too many games from his childhood that he plays much now due to his work schedule, so there's that.

So yeah I believe people thinking he soldout is because they assume that he is a big gamer when in fact he just isn't.

@Tasuki yea and im totally cool with that. Avgn is a character, and I think people get confused about his love for gaming because that's what he's known for. Either way I'm good with the channel and I'm actually watching some older seasons now for fun lol.

NintendoByNature

Tasuki

@NintendoByNature Right I love the channel too yeah AVGN introduced to me to the channel but there is alot of other good videos there. In fact I just found out about Retail Reviews and watched the Batman episode and the TMNT and enjoyed both.

I am glad that they put stuff like that up otherwise the channel would be dead waiting every few months for a new AVGN episode. I also like alot of James movie and film videos too.

As I said just dumb people that's all.

@Tasuki yea for sure. Retail reviews are nice. But I honestly love the rental reviews just as much as avgn, maybe slightly less. Go watch the night killer (Italian chainsaw massacre knockoff). I laughed so hard at that movie and I didn't even watch it!

NintendoByNature

Tasuki

@NintendoByNature I will have to check those out Thanks. Have you ever seen his Board James series?? I though he did those really well and I was laughing alot during those.

@Tasuki I haven't checked those out yet. I'll check it out soon though.

Tasuki

@NintendoByNature So I have been binging on the Rental Reviews on Cinemassacre and I am really enjoying them. Just confused as to why they switched sets, yes I am aware of the sub plot with there Landlord but I am wondering if there was a behind the scene reason. And any clue who Mr. Lobo is?

Also found out why they brought Justin, Tony and the other guy on. According to Mike he use to handle all the production stuff with James back in the day. Well as I said earlier with James having kids and such it then fell onto Mike. Long story short Mike just got tired of producing and wanted to do more streaming and Retail Reviews so in order for him to do that, they hired Tony, Justin and the other guys (sorry his name escapes me now).

But yeah thanks for recommending it.

@Tasuki yea they're all really good. I honestly don't know why they changed the location, but the new one looks a little cleaner and nicer and maybe they wanted a fresh start? Not really sure.

Mr lobo, although i dont know who he is, i love that guy. I wish he'd make more appearances. And keiren is the other guy. All that makes sense as to why they got hired on. I like them, but like I was saying I read alot online of people complaining.

Man, now I REALLY want to play this game! Lol

NintendoByNature

Tasuki

@NintendoByNature From what I read Mr. Lobo is a former Horror Host. Basically he was a host of a show that would come on late night and show an old horror movie from the 50s or so and before the show and before and after commercial breaks the host would discuss the film. If you know you Elivira is or the Crypt Keeper are they are probably the most famous. I looked him up after I posted here. So it makes sense why he has worked with James.

I saw all the hate and yeah alot of the hate is just stupid and alot of it also comes from the drama regarding Bootsy if you know who that is and alot of people just not liking Mike in general. Also the fact that James does alot more movie and film stuff the video game stuff has upsetter people over the years.
