A lot actually, but I'll break it down to a top 5.

1) SMT V
2) Pokemon
3) Fire Emblem
4) Street Fighter Anniversary
5) Prime 4

I'm excited for a ton of games, but here's the five I'm most pumped about:

1) Project Octopath Traveler
2) Dragon Quest XI
3) Valkyria Chronicles 4
4) Fire Emblem Switch
5) Mega Man 11

And that's just the top five, there's countless other games I'm hyped for, like Hollow Knight, Owlboy, Ys VIII, Dark Souls Remaster, Dragon Quest Builders...the list goes on! People say 2018 looks empty, but personally I don't think I'll have time to play all the amazing 2018 Switch games!

salivating over here for Fire Emblem.

...and what I would give for Capcom to bring the MegaMan Zero series back and start on the Switch.

I want octopath more than anything in the world.. once they put a date on it I'm going to go INSANE waiting.

I'm not hyped for anything else this year. (SMTV is the other game I'm psyched about but there's no tba2018 on that is there? Pretty sure its not coming out this year)

Other than that, Nintendo needs to announce their big surprises for this year because without that, the rest of the year is fail.

@Inertiacreep I dunno, Octopath looks so darn phenomenal that basically no other game could release this year and I'll still be thrilled lol.
But if you're into Octopath and Xenoblade, there's lots of other great similar RPGs coming this year like Dragon Quest XI, Ys VIII, and Indivisible to get hyped about. I'd recommend you check those out as well and see if you find anything that catches your fancy.

@ilikeike oh i am definitely pumped about dragon quest! But mostly i was talking about switch exclusives as far as there not being anything else worth looking forward to.. i mean basically I'm excited for Kirby and bayonetta and if that's it? That's pretty weak.. however, i KNOW Nintendo has some big plans this year like metroid, Pokemon, animal crossing, mother 3, etc., any of these are potentially going to come out this year.. there's going to be something huge but they need to announce it because for all their talk this year looks lame until octopath comes out.... but i agree with you, once i have that game the rest of the year doesn't matter.... but if i wasn't looking forward to that game switch 2018 would be looking pretty pathetic at this point.

Im about to check out indivisible though cuz i don't believe I've heard of it yet!

@Inertiacreep Yeah that's true, not too much in terms of Switch exclusives this year...aside from Kirby and Yoshi there's not much first-party stuff I'm excited about. But like you, I'm nearly certain that Nintendo's got more up their sleeves for 2018, probably to be revealed relatively soon at a hypothetical Direct or something like that.
Indivisible, though...man, that looks great so far. The art direction of Skull Girls, music from the composer of Secret of Mana, and a unique gameplay mix of action RPG, platforming, Metroidvania-esque exploration...definitely not Octopath levels of perfection, but still awesome nonetheless!

With how the zero series ended there's no chance of a sequel.

Bayonetta and GalGun are definitely on my radar, ACA Konami should be on the way soon hopefully.

@GameOtaku The Zero series does have sequels, Megaman ZX and Megaman ZX: Advent for DS.

Those are their own timeline and story though. The Zero story wrapped up nice and tidy.

Where do I start?

Kirby, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Mario Tennis, and Labo all come to mind...

The final Shovel Knigt campaign!

Starlink: Battle for Atlus trying to bring back toys to life!

And more.

1. Smash bros (I know this hasn't been announced yet, but I'd be amazed if it doesn't make the 2nd half of 2018.)
(The rest) Bayonetta 1/2 - have never played either, look very interesting. Mario Tennis - Although the last version was apparently rubbish, I had a great time playing the game cube version with friends, if its at least as good as that with a few more bells and whistles I'l be happy. Kirby, DK and Hyrule Warriors I'd probably wait until they were available at cheaper prices.

Although I was a huge fan of Super Metroid on the nintendo, I was never keen on any of the 3d metroid releases. Hopefully the up and coming release will change my mind!

Man, I've got a good month ahead with Fe and Owlboy coming soon. Hopefully soon followed by Hollow Knight.

Further down the line, Dark Souls is a game I'm definitely gonna double dip, and I might get the Darkest Dungeon physical edition, if I can get it for a decent price around here.

@SilverEdge92 Oh yeah, Metroid Prime! I'd forgotten about that. I hope it lives up to the first one; I loved those games back in HS. Such cool sound design and having a gun for an arm is super badass.

I'll list my top three.

1. Project Octopath Traveler. As a huge fan of Bravely Default, I can't wait to see what they're going to do with Octopath. The demo was fantastic and the visual style is gorgeous.

2. Runner 3. I completed Runner 2 and loved every single second of it. Didn't matter if I was playing on the easiest or the hardest difficulty, it was just so much fun.

3. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. I haven't actually beaten the first game yet and I just bought the second one a month ago but I'm going to play through them before Travis Strikes Again comes out. The first game is fun and has great music. Since I haven't played the second one yet, I can only say that I have listened to Philistine about hundred times in 2017 and it never gets old.

It's its, not it's.

@Bart_T What region are you looking for a physical copy in? I built a little tool for tracking that kind of thing, there's a link in my sig.

@wyzau

I actually gave up waiting for Nightwar and purchased it on PC, it’s not as impressive as I’d have hoped for, it’s still “okay” though. Just a bit underwhelming and very streamlined. I hope you enjoy it though!

As for my top 5:

1 - Fire Emblem
2 - Octopath
3 - Donkey Kong
4 - Dragon Quest Builders (Loved the demo)
5 - Moonlighter
