Aw yeah, spending the afternoon transferring all my various region accounts and save data for 400+ games from my Switch V1 to my brand spanking new Switch V2 and 400GB micro sd card. Then I have to redownload all my digital purchases and various game updates. Then after all that, consider downloading DCUO, all though I shouldn't...considering my already sizeable backlog.

Life if good.

@Magician Always feels nice setting up a new device, at least for me. ^^

.......what's even the point of this pricing model

Nintendo. You stubborn, greedy idiots

The SNES lineup better blow my mind if I have to pay extra to even access that console's library

The pricing tier rumors aren't that surprising to me, if you look at Nintendo's history. They always charge as much as they can, because they can.

I'm ok with paying more to get more honestly. Of course, id prefer not to. But when push comes to shove and you put two models in front of me..

1) only nes games for $20/yr
2) snes and/other for $25 or $30/year

I'll take option 2 in a heart beat

Mr Nintendo, I'd like to remove the NES tier, charge me just for the SNES tier.

@BlueBlur101 Well that would suck. So I wouldn't be able to get SNES games for... over another year when my current one expires? I'm not losing on all that time I have stored up.

I don't understand. You'll complain if you have to pay 5-10 dollars more per year for access to dozens of SNES games (most likely), because you'd rather pay 10-15 bucks a pop PER game if they just put them on the eShop?

I mean...what the heck, people. We don't know pricing, obviously, but I'd bet a golden retriever puppy it won't be over 10 dollars more per year, and I'd also be willing to bet we'd get access to AT LEAST half a dozen SNES games. I don't know.

I guess the flip side is people just expect this stuff for free or as part of the 20 dollar membership because, you know, people don't value the work of others and they think time renders all things worthless.

"We dont want games for x price per title anymore. Make it an all encompassing fee"

"Ok"

"We dont want that make it individual!"

Bruh.

All they gotta do to make it not an embarrassment is actually put effort into some basic online things But it's Nintendo, so... Hah.

We can’t forget the golden nugget of “They should make the plan have tier pricing, then charge more than the base to get SNES games”

Whatever, mine and a friend’s re-ups in September. Since I bought hers last year, I’m putting us both on a family plan anyway with our other friend. I play online games, I buy a sub. First world problem solved.

I'm already paid through two more years of NSO.

A separation of NSO tiers by price would suck.

@link3710 I'd imagine you will be able to upgrade your current membership like how on XB1 you can upgrade from Xbox Live Gold to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (Gold + Game Pass XB1 + Game Pass PC) though of course Nintendo wouldn't be as generous as upgrade for $1.

@rallydefault

You know id rather have all SNES titles on one cartridge and pay 30 for it

And apart from that, if i paid for one year i probably played all the NES games already and therefore shouldnt have to pay for it again, so the price i pay for NSO should go to the SNES game, thats why there shouldnt be an extra cost to play SNES games

Thats BS

If I were buying an individual subscription, a SNES tier wouldn't interest me. I can play all the SNES games I want on my 3DS/SNES mini - I really don't need SNES games with that annoying forced border on my Switch.

That said, I buy a family plan and that would likely soften the blow so I'll probably end up with it anyway.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Ideally how about this, virtual console on switch but nso nes still works as it should but gives subbers 5 games from vc free that they have access to at any time even after the sub is over. Everyone wins, non subbers can buy games subbers play all free and keep 5 (in addition they could buy normally).

TheFrenchiestFry

@NintendoByNature I think what this means is that the price of a yearly subscription is about to take a massive hike because they're going to charge you for the online, NES games AND SNES games in addition to those

@GameOtaku nintendo wouldn't be that kind! THEY'RE NINTENDO!

@BlueBlur101 a massive hike would hopefully warrant massive results and improvements. But, I guess we'll find out in a few weeks time I'd assume.

Tiers is a good idea tho I would want to upgrade my tier. I’d like to keep my basic cheap online. I have a Snes mini. Nes mini Wii shop virtual console games. 3ds virtual console games and Wii u virtual console games and nes and Snes cartridges. Would be great for the people who haven’t experienced Snes games
