Topic: What are the best accessories for Nintendo Switch / In Car & Cases?

Hey! What are the best accessories to get for my new Nintendo Switch? I've looked at a couple of things so far including something so my friends can play when we are on long car journeys!

Popped up which looked good, has anybody got one? Or is there something better for the car?

First off if your driving how are you going to drive? I would get a power source and get a actual small TV and use that as your output display for gaming mobile to see more screen play time. That's what I would do to include everyone so they can also watch and play along.

@SwitchForce I wouldn't use it myself while I'm driving, I thought it would be cool too get if I was in the back seat then I could play in the car.

It attaches to the headrests so you can mount it like a TV screen and play whilst in the backseat, thought it was neat

@Spoggers95 I've been looking for something like this for a real long time now. Didn't know amazon sells mounts for the Nintendo Switch. My son will love this! I'll go ahead and buy one and give a review for y'all.

@Spoggers95 A strong portable battery would be a good idea. I've got a 50,000mAh power bank that has enough power to recharge my Switch, phone and tablet, twice. Cost about 50 dollars on Amazon a couple years ago, new models are smaller and lighter than mine and it makes an excellent little general accessory.

Another good idea is a stand for table top mode so you can plug it in while playing if needed, and you can adjust the angle - the kick stand on the Switch only has one position.

Also a nice screen protector is a good choice - tempered glass rather than flimsy plastic. More expensive but more reliable too.

As for cases, get one of the hard ones, there are a lot of soft ones on the market - but they are pretty useless in my opinion and really only keep the Switch clean. If you're gonna put the Switch in a backpack or bag, chances are it'll be in there with something else too. You want a case that can protect the unit from anything else in your bag. Hard cases also help keep the buttons from getting pressed and turning the Switch on in your bag.

Ah cool never thought of that, a power bank will be really useful! Defo like the idea of a hard case too, I will have a look around today. The switch is an awesome console, loving every second so far! The amount of accessories is crazy, but enjoying looking and always open to more suggestions! Has anybody got an absolute favorite they can't live without?

@ZeldaChimp1988 Well if/when I move back to the US, renew my license and buy a car, I'll consider it. Personally, I sold my car back in 2015 before I moved to Japan for work - you really don't need a car here for 90% of things.

@Spoggers95 I know I looked at those when I owned my Switch as well but the screen is pretty small and that is why I mentioned a powered TV would give more visual gaming experience as well. They do make small HDTV that I would DIY and make that work with the Switch attached below or behind it to give the best possible on the road gaming experiences. Looking at that small screen could be hard when traveling. That's what I would envision trying to do.

@Spoggers95 They're not really more advanced or anything but I would say they make better use of tech than other places. Many restaurants make use of digital menus and have a simple call button for when you want to speak to a waiter for example. Public transportation is soooooooooo much better than the US but it's nothing more advanced, they just use it much more and have better organization. Real Japan isn't anime, there aren't...

Okay there are some robots used as advertising gimmicks. Lol

@Heavyarms55 Always loved the idea of Japan and imagined it to have everything but flying cars lol. Will try and make a visit one day. It's not so much of an issue in the states as We've all got big cars and straight highways haha!
