German website Nintendo-Magazin.de asked Ubisoft about a NX release of Watch_Dogs 2. All they had to say was something like "we have nothing to announce".
Not surprising but still pretty bad. Sounds like being a NX only gamer is gonna be another Wii U situation.... if anythingb3rd party 2017 games should be on NX but nope.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

This is really a non-issue. Either they are going to support NX, in which case they are under a strict nda. If they do not have a dev kit, they won't even know what it is and really can't say if they will support it or not.
Considering Nintendo have yet to announce what the NX is, I very much doubt Ubisoft, or any third developer, is in any position to actually come out and announce their game(s) are coming to the NX.
To be fair to Ubisoft, they did support the Wii U for a good while and I would imagine they'd do the same with the NX. I also see Activision supporting the console with COD at the very least. As for the others, well we shall see.

The three posts above me have summed it up pretty well. At this point they're all under strict NDAs if they're working on something for the NX, and they won't just casually mention NX in a random tweet.
Whether it will come to the NX or not, it doesn't really matter. The game is several months old by the time NX arrives.
@WebHead
At a console launch people will buy pretty much anything just to have software. So if it was to launch on NX I don't think they'd have that much trouble moving a few units. Especially if the NX does well out of the gate and has one or two exclusives to push it along.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
@WebHead I don't think a couple of late ports are the problem, it just shouldn't be all late ports. If it's a new system that can play new games, give us those new games. It's not really a problem if this comes to NX later, it just won't make much of an impact.
With respect to the OP, "We have nothing to announce" is not news, it's just a pretty standard diplomatic dismissal of a nosey question. There's no point in reading too much into it at this stage. And if anything, the thing to read into it could be that they're working on the idea, because if they categorically were or weren't releasing on NX then they would have something to announce. The fact they haven't ruled it out can really only be taken optimistically at this stage, I would suggest.
@Megumi_Sagano Not you too? W_D was a good game on Wii U. I really must insist upon this

@WebHead
The NX is launching in early 2017 so it's either going to get "late ports" or it's not getting third party games. Most of the big third party titles launch around November, not many launch around March unless they've been delayed. By the time the NX launches the biggest sellers of those months will still be the games that launched in November. If the NX gets some of those games? That's not a bad thing I'd argue.
I'd also point out that the Wii U's launch is only one example of how those ports can play out. Remember that the same thing happened with every other current gen platform. The issue isn't whether or not the ports it gets early on are "late" or not because they always are. The issue is what else the system has to offer and what the competition is doing.
Anyways, I have no opinion on Watch Dogs 2. I'm not interested in the game and I'm sceptical about how well it'll sell at all let alone on the NX if it comes to the NX. I was just making a point that Ubisoft are not an indie studio, they're not going to put "coming to NX" on their trailer.
@gcunit I'm just annoyed at Ubisoft at this point for doing what they did with their games, starting with Raymon Legends being "exclusive". Then their other games and not even giving the Wii U DLC or any of that stuff, then they wonder why their games sell poorly on the Wii U.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
This game gets such a bad rap on Wii U, but it seems it's either from those who've never played and repeat the same 'framerate' myth, or it's people actually cheesed off with Ubisoft and tarring the game with the same brush.
Yes, it was late.
Yes, it lacked any DLC.
Yes, it did nothing Wii U specific other than interactive map and off-tv play.
BUT ALSO... Yes, the game itself was pretty good, with tight controls, good visuals, and the only game of its kind on Wii U.
I don't care about any of the things the game lacked, I'm thankful to Ubisoft for bringing the game to Wii U and giving me 50hrs plus on my gamepad that I couldn't have gotten otherwise.

@gcunit It was a half finished port with awful framerate,lack important DLC and it that costed 60 dollars at launch. And after a couple of months it went to 20 dollars. It deserves a bad rap.
And there's was already a way better open world game on the Wiiu. It's called Lego City Undercover.
@TwilightOniAngel Well my 50 hrs on it says the framerate was just fine, how long have you played it for?
And the price of the game, and the availability of DLC, have nothing to do with whether the game is any good or not.
With respect to Lego City Undercover, which I also have and like, one is full of PEGI 7 content, while the other is full of PEGI 18 content. This doesn't make one better than the other, but it should be enough to indicate to most people with gaming experience that these are different types of game within the open-world genre.

@gcunit I played 20 hours of that garbage version. And either way you don't have to play the game to know it has awful framerate. Cause there's already videos showing the framerate of the port. And please don't say "It's fake!" One last thing 50 hours? What the hell were you doing?
I'm not saying saying it's a bad game. If you read my comment,i said it was a half finished port that was sold for 60 dollars. An awful port at that
Does it matter if it's PEGI 7? You're on a Nintendo site! Playing games that are meant for kids.Ratings shouldn't matter. One game was actually made from the ground up. The other was a port that took them a day or two to make.
