Hi I've been playing Zelda however my litttle brother just got a switch and wants to use my Zelda game... if he saves games on his console will I lose my saves/progress when I put the game back into my console?

@LucidDreamer No, you won't lose anything. Save data is stored on the system itself, not on the game card.

@Octane thank you, I can now let him borrow it, I was paranoid for a second there haha. What about if I lost my Zelda game and bought a new copy, would I still hage my original progress?

@LucidDreamer: Yes. You are keeping all your save files on the 32GB internal memory of your Switch console and you can play/continue your save file with every copy of the game (even a digital copy). If you didn't know, it works with every game.

There are no save batteries in the game cartridges anymore, like on the NES, Game Boy, SNES, or most N64 games, so you don't give away your saves with your game, you keep all your saves on your console. You lose the game? You can buy a new one and still have your games progress. Don't wreck your console though or all saves are lost.
