@FragRed that would mean the game can only be played in "console mode" which would be odd in my opinion. I would figure Nintendo's goal is to have every game playable in portable and console mode.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@DefHalan I assume the controllers will require to be detached from the system itself and used much like Wii remotes.

I still don't get why people are persisting with the idea that the controller can detach and become two controllers. People have been misreading the article and this has been then misappropriated in other articles that has continued to legitimise this idea. The original article simply said:

"we've heard the screen is bookended by two controller sections on either side, which can be attached or detached as required.".

So that simply says the controller is made up of two components that attach to either side of the tablet. That does not say when detached it becomes two separate controllers for two people. It is more likely that the controller just merely snaps back together but this time minus the tablet for big screen play.

Edit: I know the second article eurogamer did suggests this is possible, but that suggests the first article first proposed it which it definitely did not. Given they are written by two different people, to me it reads like the second person over-extending or misunderstanding what the first article meant.

Just came across this article on Nintendo Everything from Ubisoft. Apparently they have "more surprises" to announce for the NX... but sounds like they maybe casual games.
