Topic: Transferring accounts

I want to sell my old Switch immediately and buy one of the new bundles, but apparently I would need both Switches in hand to transfer my account.
I was just planning on restoring the old Switch to factory settings and logging back into my account when I buy a new Switch, but apparently I can't do that? Am I correct?
I don't care for my save data, I just want to keep using the same account if that helps.

Just unlink your account and reset the old one, and then activate your account in the new one. You should be able to redownload your content.

If you have a Nintendo switch online subscription you should have cloud copies of your game saves waiting for you.
