I’m gonna try and complete this without cheats on Switch. The various cheat codes got me through as a kid 😂 such fond memories of this game which was the first FPS I ever owned.

they say that life’s a carousel, spinning fast you’ve got to ride it well. The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It’s heaven and hell.

Just played level 2, I find it quite difficult considering I've never played these games before but I've finally finished level 2 in a good place to save, 23 Tek armour, I have the chain gun thing and 3 lives to boot! Woop woop

See ya!

@RazorWind this might be sacrilegious to say but having played Turok, I'd love to play more N64 games with the graphical updates. Same textures and everything but increased draw distance and HD resolution. It might not be the exact same experience but I never had an N64 until way after they ceased production so an update to any game in the same vein as Turok would make it's library way more accessible (playability wise) to someone like me. I'd pay to play more games like this over having 1:1 ports in the vein of the virtual console

I'm still happy about it being on the eshop because it might be a sign that future 64 ports won't be a part of the Online subscription.

I wouldn't take it to be a sign of anything to do with Nintendos own plans for their n64 games. Being a third party game, it's no different than Castlevania and Mega Man being on the eShop independent of NES Online.

I had an n64 back in the day as a teen and have a lot of nostalgia for it, but I still agree with this. n64 games don't look all that good, even on a CRT. They haven't aged well, visually. The low poly and textures are fine, as they have a look indicative of that era, but the terrible draw distance, excessive use of fog and low res blurriness just doesn't look good (as opposed to say, the SNES, where many of the games still look good to this day, even in the original low res)
I'd love to see more n64 games remastered as you say, leaving everything alone except boost to HD and improve draw distance/remove fog.

@New_Guest yeAh it does but turn the sensitivity up to maximum to make the most of it!

@Cotillion I'm glad you understood what I meant, I waSnt sure if I'd explained it properly! I actually love the low poly and textures and the lack of fog/improved draw distance allows me to appreciate them so much more! The SNES was the pinnacle of gaming for me, I've always felt the graphics hold up to this day (or whatever day I've thought that on in the past lol)

@New_Guest it's on the last day of its sale at the moment, £11.84 in the uk

Am I the only person finding it being called Turok 64 in the thread title when it was called Turok: Dinosaur Hunter really bugging? It was one of the few games that didn't have "64" slapped on it.
