This is about the new pokemon games but also a bit about nintendo.
So I have around 200 hours in the game so far. The game isn't that bad, they could have done a way better job than this but hey, in 2019 what big game company does a good job right?
What mainly I wanted to rant about is the max raids and the NEED for them to make us pay to maybe enjoy them.
The problem is that the npcs that join your raid are useless, beyond useless to be exact. They do nothing other than hinder you and make the whole process harder and annoying.
Someone would say "get online and find real people", well 90% of the times almost no one is joining the raids, even in rank5 gMax raids.
Yesterday I was trying to catch a rank5 gmax snorlax for about an hour. In all of my attempts I only got 3 more people to join (and not in the same raid). So my only options is to believe in the heart of the cards and maybe get some random npcs that aren't actually braindead so I can kill and capture that pokemon.
But hey, they got to fix the raid glitches am I right, and give the ones that cheat pokemon more work. Reminds me of Anthem, instead of making the game better they "fixed" things that made the game more enjoyable.
They monetize the online aspect of a pokemon game and they don't even do it right, good job lads.
