Topic: The World Ends With You: Final Remix Thread

So anyone else hyped for this release? I've wanted my TWEWY fix for AGES, and an HD remake on Switch with a new scenario was one of my pipe dream games for the year. Hoping this does amazing so they finally make a sequel. For anyone who hasn't played yet, the game features a crazy story (If you've played KH you should know what to expect, but all the story is in one game at least ) amazing music, and a fun and addictive battle system. We'll see how that works on one screen, but I didn't hear anything bad about the mobile version.

Final warning: If you haven't played the game yet, go in cold. Any search is going to give you tons of spoilers, so watch out.

I, myself is really excited for this, especially for the new scenario! And can't wait to replay the game too, I hope they made some pins easier to get... especially those healing barriers :v

Yeah, well, they need to rework the entire evolution system with Mingle gone. No more streetpass after all. Plus, with there likely being new pins for the new scenario, I think there's a good chance they'll make 100%ing easier this time around (not that it'll stop me if it isn't.)

Ooooh yeah I forgot all about the Mingle thing. Well that's one thing they'll rework then...

At least sleep and such will stay. I really like it (and I'll need to look it up this time around so I won't get stuck :v ) I hope they'll let us make the evolution not stuck...

When we see the price for it on Switch I suppose it will make the £18 asking price on iOS suddenly look reasonable at least. I keep waiting for it to go on sale.

@Roamer Just get it. You won't regret it - it's fantastic on iOS. The touch controls on the single screen are a sublime translation of the DS version.

Or wait for the Switch version, which will have slightly more story and yet another control system for the battles - presumably involving the gyros in the joycons. Either way, it's an incredible game, my all-time favourite. Worth it for the music alone.

As for the absence of mingle, they got around it on iOS by giving you experience points from playing the pins game against the CPU. I assume it'll be the same for the Switch version.

Honestly I’ve never even of this games. Just from the trailer it really didn’t look like my cup of tea. Not hating on it though just didn’t get me excited

Its honestly such a weird coincidence, I was randomly getting recommended videos of this game for two months now. Before that I had never heard of it or even knew it had fans. After listening to the music and watching people gush about it as a hidden gem, I was thinking about buying an old copy. Then the direct surprise announcement (while I was sleeping mind you) exploded. So happy its coming, but kinda wish it was confirmed the release date is a little bit sooner than just 2018

...Of course a Switch version happens right when I buy the iOS version. -.-

Can't wait to bawl my eyes out at the credits again. Personal favorite DS game.

It is? Checks the Nintendo page. I guess it is then. That's a somewhat surprising choice, considering Square Enix has publishing set up in all the territories it's releasing in. Wonder what the story with that is?

At least we finally know what that bonus image at the end of the mobile version means.

I never played the mobile version so I'm curious how the battling works without the dual screens. It was my favorite DS game and I loved the whole synergy aspect of passing the ball back and forth between the two screens as you fight, plus the health bar being shared between the two characters and extending across both screens. I'll definitely be getting this but I feel like I'll miss the original battle system.

Also, I'll die happy if we get some TWEWY amiibo.

Clearly it is setting up Neku for Smash Switch.

I did give a pretty detailed description for how he'd work in the Smash ballot, after all.

Definitely hyped for this. TWEWY was one of my favorite DS games and I stupidly traded it away after I completed it. Will buy again if the price is not completely outrageous.

Loved this game on the DS but I've never played the post game content (I think it was called another story or something).

My brother tells me The World Ends With You is one of the best RPG's he's ever played.

Mind you, he's an RPG guru. He's the one who got me into Xenoblade, Final Fantasy, Y's, Baten Kaitos, Ni No Kuni, and countless other top shelf games.

So when he tells me this is one of his absolute favorites, I take that very seriously.
