So I'm watching some dude stream Shen Jian and it hit me: the Switch could finally revive the beat em up scene with its 2P joy con. Anyone else feeling it?
@NinChocolate Final Fight is owned by Capcom and they don't seem to be doing anything with their old I.P.s anymore and SoR has been dead for years now, so I wouldn't hold my breath for those two.

The Switch would be a good fit for something like that. Those games were really popular back in the day in arcades when you'd have a couple people playing with you. Pretty much what the Switch is going for.
Wouldn't it be reasonable to suspect Neo Geo's Sengoku series would eventually come to the Switch? Their support has been pretty strong for the system.
Ah, the OP is referring to brawlers? Yes, I could certainly see a number of NES and SNES virtual console games selling really well on the switch. Perhaps Sega could jump in and release the Streets of Rage and Golden Axe franchises on there.
Better still, though I doubt it'd happen, but would be great to see Treasure re-release Guardian Heroes as they did on XBL some years ago.
There was a brawler on the 3DS a few years back with part of the Treasure team on board ( 'princess something rather' was the name). Similarly, Treasure also made some really good Bleach 4 player brawlers on the original DS.
Basically, what I'm saying is, Nintendo should hire Treasure Co to develop a brawler for the Switch.
I don't think I've ever enjoyed a genre more than beat-'em-ups/brawlers. That gameplay of moving through the level, using simple button combinations and the importance of your position in the screen was always so much more enjoyable to me than the complex button inputs of vs. fighters.
I'm hoping we get Double Dragon (Arcade Archives) - it would be awesome to have the true coin-op version on Switch. The other gold standard is Final Fight, which hopefully Capcom will bring over (the Japanese version of Final Fight One would be an OK substitute). Sega's Golden Axe is the 3rd game that I think is one of the true greats, as it actually pulls off something slightly different to the others.
Streets of Rage 2 is also a brilliant game... just short of Final Fight, in my opinion. A remake of the original Streets of Rage, with better graphics and smoother scrolling would be interesting, as the character differences do set it apart from the standard Final Fight template.
Isn't Streets of Rage available on the 3DS eshop in a Sega collection? I used to have it on my Game Gear, with a link cable, to play alongside my best mate. Happy days! Would be great on Switch - though I'd prefer the 16-bit versions. Double Dragon swallowed many 20ps in youth too.
There was another great arcade brawler, based on King Arthur, with Perceval and Lancelot as the other playable characters - I'd love to see that again.
@Krillin Ya, Capcom's Knights of the Round. I haven't a clue why it's never showed up on SNES virtual console along with King of Dragons. I'd continue to play the poop out of those games on any modern system
I really wish Nintendo would make a Smash beat em up spin off. Let characters use their moveset from Smash in a Subspace Emissary type level.
I like Smash Wii U over Melee. FIGHT ME.
I'm addicted to amiibo. Full collection of the Smash series....help me....please...
Also, I like to go fast, really fast.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.

According to Wikipedia, there are 199 games (currently released and upcoming) for the Switch. 20 of those - over 10% of the system's library - are listed as "Fighting", "Hack and slash" or "Beat 'em up".
Current games:
Fighting:
Fatal Fury: King of Fighters
Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
The King of Fighters '94
The King of Fighters '98
Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge
Waku Waku 7
World Heroes Perfect
Hack and Slash:
Dragon Quest Heroes I (currently Japan-only)
Dragon Quest Heroes II (currently Japan-only)
Upcoming games:
Fighting:
ARMS (June 2017)
(Untitled) BlazBlue game (TBA)
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (2017)
The King of Fighters '99 (2017)
Pocket Rumble (TBA)
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn (TBA)
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (May 2017)
Hack and Slash:
Fire Emblem Warriors (Q3 2017)
Beat 'em up:
Dusty Raging Fist (TBA)
Sengoku (2017)
So plenty of 1v1 fighters but very few brawlers. Add me to the list of wanting more (I'd particularly like to see the Double Dragon series on the Switch).
@NinChocolate Yes, Knights of the Round! I did have that name floating around in my subconsciousness, but wasn't confident to come out and say it! Have very fond memories of throwing coins away on the arcade version.
Kind of intrigued by the One Piece game - it could fill the beat 'em up void. Would be nice if we could something new, though.
In the Vs genre, I love the look of Pocket Rumble!
