Huge congratulations to @GrailUK. The final day saw lots of movement on the leaderboard with some incredible scores posted with the top 3 scores on Hamster's leaderboard all currently belonging to NL members. I think we can declare the first weekly challenge a huge success.

In a week that saw some amazing scores posted despite the frustration at the random order stages were presented, @masterLEON comes out on top posting an incredible score on the final day which took him to 2nd on the Hamster leaderboard and within reach of the top score.

Congratulations to @Qualitybeats for that fantastic score which sees him sit 2nd on the Hamster Leaderboard. Shout out to @RetroGamerAndrew for also posting a superb score which was pipped on the final day.

The final standings for the weekly challenge ending 8th of January. The game chosen by last week's champion @Qualitybeats was the excellent side scrolling beat-em-up Mutation Nation .
This was the first non-shoot-em-up weekly challenge and by the end of the week the top 3 places on the Hamster leaderboard all belong to NL members. It was a great choice of game and helped to keep things fresh and show we're not just all about shooters.

Game - Blazing Star Rules - Caravan Mode Ending - Concluded March 16th
Here are the final standings for the weekly challenge ending March 17.This game for this challenge was the superb Blazing Star as chosen by last week's champion @GrailUK
The benchmark was set from day one with an incredible score from @wasilewski which sees him sit 2nd on Hamster's leaderboard and that was the score which ultimately won this week's challenge Unsurprisingly @masterLEON came close to topping it with another stellar effort.
Thanks to everyone for taking part in this challenge, well played and hope to see you back for the next one.

Huge congratulations to @RetroGamerAndrew for that amazing score. Finally a week where his score didn't get pipped on the last day. Him and @masterLEON were out on their own with this one. Though I'm sure if @GrailUK had stopped admiring the graphics every playthrough he'd have been up there too.

In a week that saw our highest turn out so far, the first modern shoot-em-up to feature as the Weekly Challenge as well as the first TATE shooter ,it also saw a few of us struggle to adapt to the craziness of proper bullet hell. Unsurprisingly @GrailUK adapted and posted an insane score that @meppi64 and newcomer @CaffeinatedGamer couldn't get close to beating, despite their stellar effort.

Another week, another insane score posted by @GrailUK .Can it be bettered by anyone for the open leaderboard? I'm not so sure! It was another fun week of score chasing despite those pesky double rocks and dastardly mines being troublesome for many of us.

In a week which had Psikyo making their belated Weekly Challenge debut with the outstanding Tengai, it also had some new pilots join us for some high score chasing who in turn contributed to making this challenge the most popular one to date with 21 names making up the final leaderboard. One of these new pilots, @GFoyle made an impressive entrance with a score that shot him to the top of the leaderboard. After posting some even more impressive scores throughout the week, he couldn't be budged from the top despite a typically stellar effort from @RetroGamerAndrew Also shout out to @Spanjard who joined us for the first time and posted a superb 800k+ score, enough for 3rd place.

The 10th Weekly Challenge featured the classic but oh so tough TATE shooter Strikers 1945. In the end the super skilled @masterLEON was victorious posting a superb score but 2 final day scores posted by @Zkibu and @hybridseed meant it was to be a very tight finish.A few extra planes shot down and gold bars collected by either of the runners up and the final standings could have been different.
It was a week where ,just like with the Blazing Star challenge ,a high score had already been set by one of the participants before the challenge even begun and one that couldn't be beaten by the deadline. To my surprise that score was my own and one I set within a week of the game coming out.I came close to beating it a few times and topping the Hamster leaderboard but to my annoyance I fell short. As it happened I did beat it the day after the challenge ended but failed to register it .Not that it would have mattered anyway as @Corneel smashed it with a leaderboard topping score that was set mere hours after the deadline.

It was a week which featured by far the most difficult shooter to date and one I feel may have put some off from participating. There was still 10 masochists who wouldn't be deterred by the difficulty though and as always some very incredible scores were posted. Way out on his own was the super skilled @Gfoyle with a score I couldn't even match in my dreams.Sadly he won't be able to partake in the next challenge so let the runner up @masterLEON choose the game for the next challenge. His choice was the superb classic Galaga 88 from the Namco Museum collection.

Another challenge where the super skilled @GrailUK came out on top. Although @Zkibu and @Dashkappei were hot on his heels with 2 equally impressive scores. It was a fun challenge but due to being part of an expensive collection,it was a quiet week in terms of participation. With several other classics included in the collection though ,it is likely to feature again.
There was 14 entries into this tournament but for some reason I can only see 13 now. Please let me know what name I'm missing from the leaderboard and I'll add your score in.
This was our very first Pinball FX3 tournament and it proved to be a lot of fun and very tight,with very little to seperate much of the scores. @meppi64 set the early pace with a superb score but then @masterLEON came in with an even better one,breaking 30 million and that proved to be unbeatable.
In this challenge which was extended by 1 week,the main taking point was the almighty tussle taking place at the very top of the Hamster Leaderboards between the super skilled @GrailUK and some unknown Japanese person. The 2 of them, completely out on their own at the top swapped places daily somehow bettering a score that seemed liked it couldn't be bettered. By Fridays deadline the unknown Japanese person snatched the top place but they've not seen the last of Grail yet ,he'll be back.

The 2nd Pinball FX3 tournament saw weekly challenge veteran @Lroy claim his first gold medal after posting a superb score early in the week that could not be topped despite a late push from fellow veteran @OorWullie Shout out to @daftbomb for also posting a superb score.
15 challenges ,16 medal winners,that's quite impressive.
Gold = 3pts
Silver = 2pts
Bronze = 1pt
For member's tied on points,the value of the medal/medals won will determine their standing on the table,eg 1 silver beats 2 bronze.
If they still cannot be separated this way then members names will be presented alphabetically but tied on the same position,eg joint 10th.
Please don't post any comments here,this is just for keeping track of the leaderboards and the details of the current Weekly challenge.
