@JaxonH Entering this thread, you knew what the narrative might be. As much as I hate whining, both sides of the consumer argument deserve to be heard. You don't like it, I get that. I like that we can keep this kind of discussion to threads like this rather than cluttering up all the others. Like you said, others enjoy the games released thus far and I am okay with that.
jump They were some really REALLY good 2d platformers though.
Tropical Freeze and Wooly World were absolute blasts but it would of been nice to have some more big feeling games, especially ones that were so linear.
@Shellcore The games that you've stated with "No screenshot" would've made an amazing Direct if they showed those games, too bad there's little information on them. And yeah, Nintendo saying said games coming out on 2018 doesn't mean it won't be pushed back.
Like I’m not trying to start fights but I do think people need to understand where we are coming from. I know things need to be saved for later, I know these things take time. But again regarding something like FE there should be new stuff ready by now.

So who's gonna be troubled by all Wii U games coming to Switch ? ...basically noone. I know most of that noone is gathered here though, but understand that 14million units sold is nothing, so any game remaining exclusive to Wii U is kind of a waste.
@WebHead Not saying you arent allowed to croticise Switch. Youll be aware of my posts and critique of the system if you do some looking. I know one user here already has and made me incredibly nervous.
But you should also, based on hostory, know what you get yourself into. Cant be surprised at the obvious.
I dont want Switch to be immune to criticism, I want it to be the most critiqued ever, within sanity obviously (CNET!!) as if you dont critique things do not improve.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
@WebHead I think apart from the Smash announcement in the Direct which was to shut up the "Where's Smash?" people, all Switch games releasing between August and sometime in 2019 are being saved for E3.
Sorry but my mind isn’t going to change on the direct. There could have and should have been more new stuff, but they chose not to. We should not have to wait until E3.

I can see all sides of the argument here to be fair...
As someone who has taken advantage of WiiU ports on my Switch, PS3 ports on my PS4, Virtual Console on my Wii etc. - I think that it's been pretty great that, over the years, I've been able to experience great games from consoles that I didn't own...
New consoles often have this kind of situation in their first year - and I think that, because the Switch is something of a late-comer to this 'generation' (if that term even applies these days!) it seems even 'worse' because it's effectively playing catch-up to the more established consoles on the market (with games like Crash and South Park somewhat belatedly coming over)
I'm sure that, in time, new experiences will come along more regularly - and more and more multi-plats will launch concurrently on Switch...and whilst I sympathise with those that have already owned many of these games on other platforms, I'd just encourage a little patience - I'm sure that more and more first/second party studios are working on 'new' games now (rather than hurriedly porting stuff over) - and more and more third parties will be able to develop their games with the Switch at the forefront of their minds from the start - so hopefully it won't be too long before the port-to-new game ratio starts to feel a bit more balanced
For a one year old console (especially one that has launched 'mid gen') I think that the Switch has actually done pretty well to get the content it has gotten so far - but I do hope that the Switch comes 'up to speed' sooner rather than later so that those seeking more fresh, new experiences are better catered for
@Grumblevolcano I hope you're right, but this has been the running joke for a while now. Not in mini direct-wait for main direct-wait for E3-wait for direct...
Wii u owner
We had it bad with the games coming on the Wii u
Also a launch switch owner
We still have it bad for the switch with Wii u titles covering the gap.
The switch is great if you were not a Wii u owner
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
